I think Delloites probably tendered their resignation on a conditional basis, which the new board were not willing to meet. If you're really interested, email them and/or email the company as a shareholder. Personally I am more interested that they appoint a new auditor and we have a conclusion on a NOMAD/listing.

I agree with Ranger and Cambridge auditors wouldn't resign due to the composition of a BoD. They are only there to give their opinion on the accounts and financial transactions, provide a management letter and perhaps some additional support. It looks like 1 - They have had a material disagreement with the board, although given the emphasis of the matter included in the accounts I can't see why that would be the case. 2 - Or they did indeed resign. Peraps the offer of the resignation was conditional with the old board and perhaps the new board were not willing to meet that condition, who knows. Its just another landmine for the new board to deal with, which they have. I am a bit surprised by the statement in the account it reads like an audit opinion, however it also states the exercise is not an audit. Which is an interesting slight of hand.

The statement seems quite clear that the auditors resigned, the statement I assume is therefore unaudited, instead an accountancy firm ‘reviewed’ but did not give an audit opinion on the figures (is my assumption, not having time to read the full account). If the auditors did not resign I am sure Mr Somers. Llambias and Leach will be in the media in due course. In the absence of that, we can assume Delloite’s are out of the picture and not only have we a new NOMAD to conclude, but we also now need an audit firm. Two of the welcome home presents left by the old board I am sure, not to mention the £0.5m for the 4 walking wounded. It either indicates we are a step nearer delisting, or Mr Murray and his team have more recruitment work to do and a limited time to do it.

Maybe the old board were applying best corporate governance pactice and rotating auditors. haha

He never got the chance to remove the NOMAD, he walked while Llambias and Leach was in charge. at the same the half a million was agreed. I don't really hang on Mr King's every word, SoF is obsessed by him. I think the general thrust of what Mr King was saying was he would try to ensure the company remains listed. Although given Mr King isn't even currently on the board, I am not sure there is much he can do about it. If you think he lied, and feel he deliberately misled shareholders, you could take legal action as a shareholder. I am not a fan of Mr King, nor am a particular enemy, for me his only purpose was to bring down the old board. For which he deserves plaudits, after that I don’t care if he walks through the doors of Ibrox again.

Looks like the old board left more than a few landmines for the in-coming regime. What a professional bunch they were, and to think some people believe the share is better off today than it was last month. So we now find out the old board had - Lost the financial auditors, and - Far from the £1000 per week each for the injured 5, the company now also need to find £500,000 if promoted for sending the walking wounded for medical treatment at Ibrox. That is in addition to - Burning through £70m - Taking short terms loans against the assets - Selling off revenue stream for next to no income - Losing the NOMAD - And lurching from governance gaffs to calamity on a regular basis. What a sorry board the old mob were, the stock is definitely better off without them. At least the new board will aim to pur in a long term strategy, the previous regimes long term strategy seemed to extend about 4 weeks. As Yazz once said, the only way is up.

Yeah, Aberdeen have had a good wee run, and fans like to see some victories, unfortunately at the same time Celtic look like getting 4 in a row and perhaps treble into the bargain, hardly competitive stuff. Meanwhile our UEFA co-efficient bobs along the bottom of the ocean. I am not saying all clubs have nose-dived, look at Hibs and Hearts who are getting all excited again, even in a lower division which is great. It is however, set against an overall back drop of sliding standards, downsized clubs and reduced revenues. I would agree Scottish football needs to try become more competitive, however declining to the lowest common denominator surely isn’t it?

To be fair Scottish football has been in a lull since Rangers were relegated to the bottom division. Empty stadiums, falling revenue and declining UEFA coefficient’s are testament to that. Celtic need Rangers, well they need competition no one has provided that to date. The only club big enough to challenge Celtic in Scotland is Rangers, and without Rangers even Celtic have declined and downsized. Once Rangers return to the top flight hopefully, we will fare better financially and in Europe.

The advance notice lasts for 35 days and prevents anyone outside the parties involved from submitting a deed over the property. If there is no follow up deed within the said 35 days, the advance notice automatically falls and they would have to apply again. In this case Sports Direct and the board have submitted an advance notice over Ibrox, Auchenhowie, Edmiston House and Albion Car Park with the view to submitting a security over these properties. If Rangers didn't own them a statement to the above effect could not have been released.
