New production data is out btw. Looking strong, 9,840 BOPD so far (per the 15th).

It did close @0.75 CAD so that's 45.75p
Still some way to go. But with the strength of the SP during this lockdown we're hopefully going somewhere higher fast, once we get solid good news.

Not sure if they've restarted the pumps (I assume they have) or if it's just inventory, but so far 55K BOO / 5.100 BOPD have been fiscalized for the first 11 days.
I'm quite surprised by the strength of the shareprice during this hard lockdown, so now I do hope we'll get a nice rerate the next month or two. James "the snake" Perez seems to be satisfied by the agreement - so for once I believe we can have a longer period of production. Once the cash starts flowing into the schools etc. it will be much harder for the (not so) local people to shut down the field.

I would never buy @market price. Most of my orders take several trades to fill often with several hours in between and a set limit price (I'll often change volume and bid to fill an order) - if there's only 1 market maker & 1 seller ofc. they can "control" the price - but they can't force me to buy). If there's more than 1 MM or seller, we got competition and it's a chicken race - this will be the case +95% of the time.
As for if it's a "sell" or a "buy" - that's simply just what the traded price is closer to: ask or bid.
Just look at the colur: Red=Sell=Trade price closer to bid than ask.

To try to distinguish between sells and buys... that's just nonsense imho, especially since change in spread might change if a trade price is a sell or a buy. Volume and trade price matters. If the colour of the trade is blue or red... Nonsense IMO.

It’s time to max out Brazilian export. Payment is fast, costs are lower and it’s more reliable. Now PetroTal also pay a royalty to local people that PetroPeru should certainly be co-paying.
ONP should be paid on delivery and with lower costs. Until then, max out Brazil.

Petrotal really lack the money from the tariffs from ONP. And the oil since Peru is a net importer.

Yeah - they should put up a sign at the gates - daily updates with how much money Perez (the invading snake) is costing the local community. That should change the mood. He's not only costing investors but also local people a ton of money and opportunities. Local people, not the police, need to oust him. At least that would be great.

We need good, solid news next week at the latest. Budget is based on 10% ONP downtime on a yearly basis. SP has held up surprisingly strong so far.

The EIA might be more important from a commercial perspective.
But from a "trust in management" perspective, getting the 2? years delayed COHO online is equally important.

Any news on the local issues? Once we get a string of sad production numbers we'll probably have a hard time keeping up momentum unless we get good news.

Well... production is king and the reserve update is just a bishop. 50% more P2 for PTAL didn't add anything to SP, despite everyone can see it will go > 2 billion next year at current strip.
So I'm not thinking the reserve update will rocket the SP - maybe add 0,10 - 0,15 CAD - but it's just my opinion and we'll see. Getting Coho online (despite the insignificant number) IMO is more solid proof than a reserve update and might IMO bump the SP up more than the reserve report. Again, we'll see.
TBH I'm not sure Paul is able to get all the ducks/wells in a row and handle a multi-year multidrilling multipad programme with EIA's within the mentioned timeline. It will be multi year - that's the only certain thing. They really need to up their local game and get ahead when it comes to EIA's, pre-approvals and what not to get this rolling. But can Paul handle that?
That being said, I'm not selling and still hold around 0.1%
