With tax rates >50% on oil in T&T I'm not sure you would see 35 USD netback per barrel @10K BOPD and 90$ brent strip. I would like an honest answer on this matter from TXP though. "The average tax rate" song, based on large proportion of gas vs oil, makes me cringe.

It makes me cringe to hear/read these constant broken promises and timelines. Obviously he found Baron von Münchhausens calendar. The market wants production, not fairy tales and even reserve upgrades is not going to put the SP anywhere near the NPV. Without trading, my PTAL:TXP ratio has gone from 1:3 to 3:2 - PTAL is producing, TXP is talking. PB really need to up his communication with mr. market. More information, despite if it's what PB considers immaterial.

What date is it supposed to be online now ('ish) - cf. the latest communication?

I really like the wording of this. Idk if I'm putting to much in it but "As we continue the extended flow test at Royston-1 we experiment with different bean sizes to optimize production volumes" certainly in my ears mean it's commercial.

They dropped the idea of reverse split/consolidation a year ago. Waste of time, focus and money anyways, since SP will handle the "problem" - especially once share buy backs begin.

There is no longer a plan for share consolidation.

Better surveillance and "own cleaning teams" would make a bunch of those cuts vanish.

They could have drones flying the length of the ONP to provide better surveillance. It's quite cheap, might catch some buggers red-handed and would reduce costs - cheaper to clean a leakage fast and also reduced oil spill (they should also measure any drop in the pipeline pressure)? Helps with the increased storage now and pls. even more via Brazil.

Take e.g. PR from PTAL today: "PetroTal is pleased to announce that CPF-2 has been fully commissioned and is operational, thereby allowing field production capacity of 24,000 bopd, water disposal capacity of 100,000 barrels of water per day and oil storage of 90,000 barrels at the field.
They're producing +20.000 BOPD now - and maybe 80,000 BO W PD.
Not sure how much water oil companies produces per day. US produces 60 million+ barrels of water. 10 million (?) barrels of oil?

Excellent RNS - nice to see CPF-2 finally done :) Very nice that they avoided the complete shut down.
Certainly a lot of cash in the bank (74 million) + I guess we still have 15 million USD from true-up in ONP (the RNS mentions true-up for export, not from ONP). And another 14 million USD from the (very generous) investor warrants at some point.

Coho might bring >2 CAD especially if we also get some nice number from the extended test and legacy wells.
It's like a proof of concept. Small, but we're getting there and risk is just suddenly way smaller.
But the real rerate will be when Cascadura is online.

MJ, I don't get the sell vs buy focus either.
Bid & ask.... it's just defined from the market price and SPREAD.
It's a BUY if the trade price is closer to the bid.
It's a SELL if it's closer to the ask.
So. In reality it's also defined by the SPREAD at the time of the trade. Meaning most SELLS would be BUYS if the ask was eg 1 p lower. And you can also have increases in SP while every trade is defined as a sell.

Thanks for the answer, Henrik. Still there's 200 KM (or something like it) to Pucallpa, which would probably be where barges would be loaded. It's a 1 USD/barrel improvement in netback if they can avoid the blending so that would be great.
They've been looking for a partner for years for block 107.
Bretana will be complete with P2 this year and P3 next year, meaning Capex will drop to a low level. Should be plenty cash to start being more aggressive on the prospects. There's also unaccounted cash incoming from the many warrants.
Oddly enough they state that "Farm out process commenced in 2022" and "Targeting first exploration well in 2022" on their site.
