12H should have been spud in July, so that's a small bummer. I guess ER Q2 is next news; might be an update on 12H but they usually dont RNS spuds (but well completion and first 4-10 days). Production looks a bit clumpy again - we'll know more in 2 weeks,

So. In the past 6 months #PTAL has printed dollars, drilled succesfully and solved social issues (hopefully for good).
Production in january was 13.875 BOPD.
Past 8 days, production (Fiscalized) has been around 18.800 BOPD.
January: OP was 86,5 and share price EOM 0,58 CAD
Now: OP = 95, share price is 0,58 CAD still.
That's completely broken, given all the printed money (150 million USD?) and reduced debt since then.
We should easily be trading above 0,75 CAD with more to come when the ER is published.

Did they mention a ballpark number for the pipeline (what will we receive from NCC when handing over the pipeline)?
That + VAT refund isn't small potatoes and should get things rolling fast (if drilling team is available).

@happysparrow - as long as Putin is president there's not going to be a normal O&G environment IMHO. The public isn't going to forgive and forget. What politician (except in Serbia, etc) is going to say: "We've got a truce now, so lets just trade with Russia like it was 2021". Changing distribution to China, India, etc. is not done in 2 years either. In the end, the only certain loser is Russia. Even if they do conquer Ukraine they'll end up losing.

The tweet (with the residents notice!) from today is not the same as the RNS though. So that's why I'm confused :/
Surely most of what's mentioned in the residents notice already happened when the pipeline was laid.

... they just need to lower the ASK and trades will be marked as BUYS instead.

I am not surprised that you can't tell the difference between CFO and CEO. Most people can. Certainly most investors can.
I'm not surprised that you think hedging is something new I just invented. It's not though. Many companies hedge input costs and currency. Since else they might end up as Uniper. It's not unusual. It's not hard. It's not magic. It's just common sense in many cases. Just ask Burggraben why it was suggested. Or ask Africa Oil Corp. if they were happy they hedged their 2020 production @75 USD to be certain they could service their debt.

I did btw. suggest to Doug that they spend the 20 million USD earmarked for acquisition on share buybacks instead of "a new asset" in June 2021. The SP was around 17p at the time IIRC. That would have taken 10% of the PTAL shares into the vault. Quite a bit better than paying 12% in coupon for nothing, don't you think (oh wait... thinking not allowed for fanboyz). Even fanboyz and cheerleaders should be happy with effectively 11,1% more shares though (do the math, I dare you). Why 12% on a 100 (+25 mio.) bond when less was needed and used?
What happened to the reverse sharesplit btw (another useless idea, management spend time and ressources on) I remember you were fanboying that for a while - still a stellar move?

It's not clear blue sky now. That would be +20K BOPD. Less is cloudy weather. And I bet, that you will read (oh... well if you read the updates - but ofc. you don't need to, to stay cheering) something along the lines of "sales/logistic related issues ended up impacting production more/for longer than expected" re. Q3 in a coming update. But ofc. I hope and think we'll be back to normal production soon, not having more delays to the cashflow.

It's not a meme stock; you're not going to be able to "rocket" this with "to the moon" dances. But you're ofc. entitled to try.

With zero debt and high backwardation (like now) you probably don't want much/full hedging... but with high debt and long settlement date you do.
Not hedging resulted in a 40.4 million USD liability and 25% dilution to private investors (and lots of free warrants to management and II's). But why am I even explaining that to you, it's old news and something you should know. And as Burggraben said, it was proposed to hedge before the crash, for the reasons I stated - many companies with debt of course did so. Why you feel it's necessary to be 100% positive on a company to own shares is beyond me.

40.4 in liabilities and 25% dilution - and Urch is mr. fantastic? Could have cost #PTAL its life, but fanboys still think he's Midas reborn. Makes you wonder.

I guess we all have our reasons to post here. Some want nothing but being a fanboy/cheerleader, not posting any new facts and lacking the ability to think independently. Others seek to reflect, understand and debate. Fortunately companies often follow forum chat and they'll certainly be well aware of the PI sentiment. As they should be, since it affects their ability to fund growth.

What's really stellar is the drilling (local management and Schlumberger) and Manolos excellent work on a political level. He certainly is also well-paid - but I hope we've come to and end with regards to free new performance warrants in excessive amounts.

Postulating that Urch is running the financial side fantastically.... shows you've not followed PTAL for long.
Stahel (Burggraben) - while on the board - urged PTAL to hedge production when debt was huge (he has stated that publically). They chose not to... so we ended up near bankrupcy and had an awful and unneeded 25% dilution bco. that. And just prior to the dilution we also (while debt was still high) had virgin dividend. Says a lot to me about people who think he's doing a stellar job and has a fantastic track record.

The list of financial blunders is long. It's been listed many times before, if forgotten it can still be found in the thread. Or apply some critical thinking and knowledge and post your own list.
