Apologies that should have been 448/449

Looking at the chart this morning, it wouldn't seem unlikely that we see the 449/450 area (previous low from Sept 1st). I'm not sure how to estimate where we'd go after that if the drop continues. I'll be 'flying on indicators' after that point, but obviously watching closely for any pointers from my girls (Dumb Money and OCD).

OSG, you apparently know lots about stuff. Why not tell us, before it happens what is going to happen to the SP of TUI (461) and CCL(1013) from now. Try to do that without invoking naerdowells in the machine, aliens or conspiracy theories should something happen that you hadn't considered. Put your efforts into a positive analysis with a rationale of what happens to those SP's next?

CCL has now hit that 990 target area I discussed a while back. Many here didn't believe it was possible that could happen. Keep watching, I suspect that drop is not finished. I personally wouldn't buy it (except for a very short term trade) above 650. OSG, I'd imagine you hold from higher up? Great stuff, well done.

I keep it very simple SK, there is simply no evidence for the moment that we've hit the swing low. I try to be careful not to get trapped with a low probability of exiting at a profit. The wider markets don't look very good to me despite many pundits saying buy buy buy

SK I've taken a 2nd position. Speculative for the moment. Based on the possibility that the SP might find buyers around 460. I'm a long way from finished buying on my trading account. I want to have spare cash should we actually get evidence the SP is ready to move up.

Because I accept that I can't see the future. I think there's a good chance we'll see that 460 area. I've only made one buy so far. I'm in a position to add speculatively around 460 (plus spread), or wait for evidence that the SP is turning due to buying pressure. You say a stuck clock is right twice a day, why? What's your point.

I had a limit buy that triggered at 466. The 465 problem is now resolved, but we'll have to see whether it touches the tl support around 460. I love it when a plan comes together.

Not sure what happened, but CCL is dropping off again, seems to be some quite serious weakness there. Remains to be seen as to whether we'll be hit with something related to CCL's weakness, but I suspect we'll be buffered from it because we have already made the hard decisions and eliminated most of our debt. I stick with my view that 465 or lower is likely. I think that's now likely in the near term. Below 465 will have me looking for signs of a turn around in the SP.

Longer term WackWack, I'm positive. I'm just accepting that I don't know what the future holds and doing my best to exploit the shorter term swings (that's working at the moment). But if the SP shot up, I don't lose as I'm not short and I gain as I hold shares (I haven't dropped any despite the SP reaching more or less b/e for me around 500). But I'm using leverage to try to exploit any falls. In a sense I'm covering all bases which increases my chances of making money unless the SP starts a further sustained decline, which is possible but I think unlikely.

I think there's a good chance we'll see 465 to 470 in the nearish future. I'll wait to see about that thought before adding anything. I've not sold any shares as I agree that 518 is near term target.

I hope you're right and I agree with your view on zombie companies. Have to admit that I don't normally follow this company so wasn't aware it was one of the bad 'uns. Also agree that good companies have a much longer shelf life than poorly run ones.

TUI SP holding up well at the moment.

Did anyone see the Home Reit RNS this morning, might seem off topic, but maybe not so much. Problems in the commercial property sector in the UK? Not just China and the US, in the UK. I wonder if it will be examined by the news channels exactly what the implications of that are. I suspect personally it's not good news for the economy going forward.

US markets continuing to the downside

ENQ also off, but it's not NS related specifically, others are also down. TLW for example is often protected from changes in SP related to NS (for obvious reasons), but is off today along with some others. Is this really down to that small drop in POO? We're still over 90 dollars a barrel for Brent for goodness sakes. I note US500 is continuing to come off nicely after their pause on interest rate rises. What time do we hear for the BoE decision?
