No idea why, but CCL is showing some weakness. I think that's a fair bit further to fall. Hope it's not the case for us.

Bluemoon. I used to check out that data, but can't currently find my account details. Check on that site some other companies. From memory, I think you'll find some at 50% and more short according to their data. I could never work out what it all meant to be honest, but did not believe that the figures they were presenting actually represented the % of stock that was sold short. As I say, I didn't understand the data. I assume that there's a sensible way of interpreting it, but I could not rationalise it as simply % of stock sold short. I stopped using the site (hence have lost/forgotten my login details).

I've stuck to my guns on this and have not replaced the leveraged positions that closed out. The OTB results having not really ignited any buying here, it starts to look as if I might be able to replace those closed positions at or below 465 as I had previously hoped. No idea what's holding the SP back here, but if I can benefit by trading around it's swings then I will continue to do so.

Some talk of shorts on the various threads. For what it's worth I have TLW at number 14 in the top 100 shorted companies in the uk markets and the % short is 2.69.

From a TA viewpoint, we've now hit a rising tl support and for the moment at least the price is rejecting it. The tl support runs on the 2h chart from May 17 2023, June 16th, Aug 30th (I missed that entry) and now the 4th touch today. SP currently 33.38 and I have that support at 33.2. For me this is an area of interest, but bearing in mind the sellers are still in control, I could imagine it failing and the SP dropping to below 30p. Just have to wait.

Sellers seem to have the upper hand here. Price currently 33.5 ish. If it closes below 33, then I suspect we'll see 29.7 or lower. I'll wait before entering.

OTB pre-close trading update (I had that pencilled in for the 30th, but it's today) is positive. We might get a positive read-across at TUI.

I've been buying for a little while with a view to relatively quick trade. Looks like the price is on the front foot, presumably due to something happening at Voda that is giving a postive read-across. Maybe the M&A activity you guys are discussing. It looks entirely possible we'll see the SP rise to around 117, but I think we're due a fall back to under 113 after that. If that were to happen I'd be buying back at below 113 in all likelihood. I agree Jan, the cost saving argument appears to be something that 'makes sense' as long as you don't think too hard about it. That's a red-herring or a Billingsgate pheasant if you like (in my view).

That's reassuring hash, every day it seems that there's a great deal of suffering somewhere for some 'others'. Just seems to be 'a bit much' at the moment. Good to hear that it's not as bad as the increasingly powerful media outlets make it seem. It's probably communication of the issues that is at a more persistent level than the events themselves. Having no experience in that area it's an interesting discussion to have for me as I do have the 'climate change' potential impacts on my mind at some level.

Martinen, I suspect that ENQ board knew what the result of the Swedish Nasdaq delisting was likely to be on the SP. I wouldn't underestimate them. That implies to me that there is a very good reason for doing it and that the board believes that over time, the remaining investors will benefit (AB being the largest). In my view, now is not the time to be dropping out of ENQ. Obviously our Swedish counterparts are in a difficult situation and need to decide whether to re-invest in the UK listing after dropping the Swedish stock. Many on here seem to be focussed on a single stock. There are others that could theoretically pay out faster. I few months ago, I mentioned I'd start to trade HBR rather than add to ENQ due to it's better beta. That has been a good decision, I've profited a fair bit from HBR (I hold none now, but am interested in buying back should we see another swing low) and not at all from ENQ

Floods in Lybia kill over 2000 people SK after a damn broke. It's not getting less biblical out there. I don't know whether I'm paying more attention this year or whether there really is an increase in natural disasters.

You'd imagine so with results coming and an expectation that they should be quite good. Should get some SP traction this week. I think I need around 500p for b/e on my shares. It was between 502/503, but I bought a few since then so may have brought it down a little. By the look of the moves to the upside, there are some buyers waiting in the wings here. Seems to drop back after a jump up though. Fingers crossed it drops back a bit tomorrow/Wednesday then roars off to above my b/e!

I closed out the other 10 leveraged positions at around 478 for a much larger profit. I have retained all of my shares. I'll consider re-entering my leveraged positions if the price comes back to 465 area.

I have over-extended here (compared to my plans). I dropped 5 of my leveraged positions this morning at up to 475ish. All at a profit, they were my worst entries. I'm hoping that I can re-enter at around 465. Time will tell, if I don't get re-entries, that's fine, I needed to lose a bit of risk.

Whatever happens now won't contribute to the figures on the 19th, but might have some impact in the next reporting period. I'll stick with the chart for now and to me that is suggesting that we'll see some good upside very soon. Price is currently trapped underneath the zero lag 200sMA (2h chart). A break above 467 (close), looks likely to favour a move up to or close to 500 in my view. Obviously the plague of negatives could derail that with a negative impact on sentiment. Fingers crossed we remain in a good position.
