PoBrent on the descent and that's continued after UK market close. I have that as likely to bring HBR off to 240 at which point the bears/bulls will decide whether 240 holds or not.

M Why is ENQ rising? I have it as likely to challenge 16.75 and possibly the previous high at 17.2 or so. Whether it does or it doesn't, the SP is rising while HBER is dropping. Is it possible that there is a discussion underway concerning HBR buying ENQ? Or are there other reasons why the SP of the two companies could be diverging. I don't believe it's due to HBR having no low debt and no tax credits vs ENQ having debt and tax credit (although that could make an approach attractive to HBR.

Something odd in my view. No idea what it is, so I'm just speculating.

I suspect under current market conditions spot oil is going to be more important than the update. POBrent dropping off still (below 85) suggests that tomorrow could have our SP at 240. That's the point at which I think there might be some tussling between buyers and sellers. Be interesting to see who wins that one. In theory, sanctions/embargos on Israeli/Iranian Oil supplies and disruption to distribution routes should push the POO up, but that's not what is happening now.

I have been waiting for this type of news. The US embargo on Iranian oil was weakening of late due to Biden's need for lower POO over the election period. If Iran get too deeply involved in this crisis, I wonder if those sanctions will be re-enforced.

I think you'll get another buying opportunity at around 240.

I was back in the Uk a week or so ago and was able to spend time with millenials (reasonably educated, thoughtful youngsters in this case). It's absolutely clear to them that environment is a priority, just stop oil are doing a great job and oil has to go. Tax on oil is fabulous and if it's higher, even better. I tried to probe their level of understanding and it's purely 'headlines'. The reason high tax on oil is great (in the UK, but they are think more in global broad brush stroke terms) is because BP and Shell are making record profits while the environment is suffering. They had never heard of HBR/ENQ, had no view on energy independence and no memory of the low oil price environment that almost put ENQ and PMO to the wall. They, therefore don't understand that getting some profit during the easier times (not currently windfall times) helps even the companies accounts in the medium/long term and currently they need to the profit to pay down the debt.

It's frightening. Not one of the people I talked to had any understanding beyond the headlines. They didn't argue against my views, but nothing I said changed a thing. Politically, Dumbly, I think that environment, green energy, high tax on oil etc are big vote winners. Admittedly this was a relatively small cross-section of society, but these 'kids' weren't stupid, they just hadn't done any reading/research and happily eat the media lines.

Looked like a big barrier to change to me.

Blue, there's still a little buying pressure, kind of muted in a way that makes me think it's deliberately low key. I would however not be surprised to see the SP drop back to 111 or below and then rise from there. I've started buying, but I'm a trader and will rationalise or exit before results. I fully expect to be able to buy back at or below 111.

Going on. CAn't help wondering if we'll see 115-116 before thusday. Maybe even 120 if results are ok.

Spin, I finally managed to trade out of 40% plus of my levaraged positions for a good profit. Glad I did too as I've been making nothing from ENQ for a long time. I'll personally be buying back when I've time to watch the price action and hope it'll be below 15p.

Currently in Munich. I closed out 50% of my leveraged position around 422 yesterday for a profit of around 20p. Foxi Kiwi, your -20% return presumably relates to inactive traders. TUI is moving beautifully if you learn enough to trade it. Once I can spend more time in front of my screens, I'll be looking to buy back.

I think it's more to do with the increased likelihood of fiscal stimulous in China. Maybe that's enough to get a Santa rally going.

Looks like it wants to go to 240 or below again. Rinse and repeat for the traders I guess.

388-390 area looks like the next speculative support, an area to watch I guess.

It seemed impossible that it might reach 650 or lower when I first suggested it (even to me) and I believe the SP was in excess of 1100 at that time, but now it's about to go below 820, 650 doesn't seem as ridiculous. It's not what I want, it's just what I think might happen.

I previously suggested the SP was likely to drop to 820 or below. That seems inevitable now. Looking more closely, my guess is that the SP will move to between 760 and 770 before the bulls/bears fight it out for the next decision. My view is that the bulls will lose that (although maybe not the first tussle) and the SP will fall to 650 or below.

You didn't answer my question. I guess your cheeky little one liner and your emoticon hide a complete lack of knowledge and ability in the markets. It's a discussion board, discuss your views on TUI debt so we can all see the value of your views in general.

ATtrades, explain to me what TUI's debt position is? Not just a headline figure that you can read all over the place. Explain, what that debt is, how it breaks down and why you think it's a negative for TUI. Bearing in mind your snappy one liner with your smiley, I expect you have an indepth understanding of these matters. Please explain to me and to the rest of the board, what exactly you are implying?

Thanks SK, it's working well now, but there will certainly come a time where I try one trade too many. Still, good to bank some profit off these swings to try to off-set the losses I'm sitting on with the shares. For what it's worth, I think it's about to turn up again and I will be buying around here (430).
