It's 240 time, that's time to sell your shirt, house, car etc Bp.

For me it's time to watch really closely for a turnaround. Although my first limit buy has triggered at 240.8. I have more around this area, but all of that is speculative based on the potential for 240 to be the bottom. There's no evidence it is yet.

I think you're right Nut, I don't know about timing, but I thin the SP will pull back to 392 or lower and probably 370 or lower. I've taken a small speculative short on this view. I'll close out if the SP rises above the previous high

Me neither Mike, no idea why it's moving the way it's moving. Could it be 'accumulation' by someone? Seems a bit optimistic. But if you can trade it, it's great. Like you I wish I actually understood it.

Bit of diplomatic strangulation to try to get them to back off from involving themselves too deeply in the Israel/Plaestine conflict. If it's implemented, you'd imagine it should push POO up.

Not much recent activity on this board which seems a shame. There's been a sustained fall in the SP as the business rebalances I guess, moving away from high street retail into travel related/airport retail? Maybe some of those who've looked more closely at the business can help me put some meat on that (or debunk it as rubbish).

I like to look at charts and the chart here looks quite permissive for a speculative trade with Stochs oversold, RSI not far out of the oversold region and some levelling off of the MACD. None of that means SP will rise, but it increases the chance that we're near a low. Results are next week. Ryan Air reports monday which might help set the scene, recently travel related stocks have been up beat and I guess WH smith should be too. I have a potential support around 1135 (but it's not a strong one). If that were to fail then we could retest the 925 area. I'll not buy before results but am getting intested.

I just love the expresson Kokomo and saw a chance to use it. As you say, very volatile. We just have to find a way to exploit it!

Well, we've seen 16.75, fingers crossed we'll see the 17.2 level and even better exceed it. I still think that ENQ/HBR SPs are diverging at the current time and that HBR SP will drop to 240 or below (although it's risen over the last day or so toa little to 255 and now at 252). As a note of caution however, the 1433 stoch on the 2h ENQ chart is negatively diverging from the SP. That gives a hint that the SP rise might run out of steam in the near future. Something to watch rather than react to. The 17.2 level is simply the previous high from Oct 20th.

On the face of it, one could argue that the start of this thread (my post suggesting 111) has made a bit of a t it of me! But, I'm holding that view and fully expect to get an opportunity to buy at 111 or below.

Is this the start of a 'Santa Rally'? US and UK hold interest rates rather than hiking. Might be the stimumlus. Plus China talking about fiscal stimulous and pundits starting to suggest the worst of the growth data from China is now passed?

We'll see, I'll play carefully and stay out for the moment.

Poker, that's already happening. A couple of big names are unwinding their shorts on long date bonds. I've been long on 30y guilts for a little while (not yet in profit) and am hoping, apparently like yourself, that there will be a rise from here.

Everything (or at least lots) is up today. I agree, todays rise is coincidental to the RNS. It does show that the market is not displeased, but beyond that, my guess is that it's being viewed in a neutral light. Rightly or wrongly, I closed a lot of positions out this morning to take the profit. I think we'll come back off.

Nice rise this morning. Market received it well. I think the SP will give it all back up and that I will be buying back at or below 111.
