But what difference does it actually make GoCPI? The inflation data is 'encouraging' but it's to be expected when China is experiencing weak demand (domestically and from international markets), consumer demand for goods in the US and Europe is low (GER in recession) and suddenly a minor fall in CPI (I should call it inflation!) has the markets racing. Doesn't make sense to me, we will not suddenly see that people have lots of money in their pockets, demand internationally picks up, banks start loosening, the property market turns a corner etc etc. This rise makes no sense to me, but it's happening. Why do we get such a big rise in stocks on the back of falling inflation (that many of us believe was inevitable). We are still seeing credit card delinquencies and car loans and property lease delinquencies etc. The world did not suddenly get better.
