good post... Hoping for fy results and takeover news next week... Likewise, apart from SG Catalogues, I haven't bought anything direct from them.... I'll probably use them or Warwick&Warwick when it comes to valuing or selling some of mine... I've a nice sg128 mint which would look out of place on a stock sheet in a shoebox!! :-)

before TU... The fy2017 ended 31st March and so the results are due. These used to be around June, although last year they were delayed due to restructuring... I expect we'll get the fy results at the same time as any takeover announcement....

Ringworm, Are you a dealer? I'm a collector - many years now... I specialise in collecting pre QE11 but mainly GB QV. I also collect some older foreign stamps... It's the rarer stamps which are investment material. The rns stated that SGI would be looking at offers throughout the summer... Does that mean there maybe an announcement, either way, at end of Aug?

It is interesting that Tosca have been increasing fairly regulary, albeit by tiny amounts.. My main concern here is how crucial it was to the business for Interiors to be sold... DC's Edi Truell is a philatelist, so I suspect he knows about SG cat valuations etc... I agree there maybe a placing needed but I don't see that as a problem, if the business, ex Interiors, can show it can grow... Re Ebay, it's great for selling regular run of the mill stamps. It is also great for promoting your 'stamp shop' but how many serious collectors would buy a £10-50k stamp off Ebay?
