I found the RNS issued today interesting mainly because of the reference in two places to the suggestion that the two executive members of the Board should as the honourable course step aside and allow for an orderly transfer. I note that it is not stated who should replace them but I suspect that it would be people who would do as SAG says. This would give SAG effective control without having to do a takeover bid.

BlairPeach ref you 16.09 not completely sure I do not recall this ship arriving at the port over recent months. It is therefore possible that it is not connected with the fabrication plant. I am not sure what other businesses in the area would need and can afford to use a cargo ship out of Russia.

CanonGuy ref your 14.37 post Lasvelas is as far as I am aware right in his 14.37 post they will not be able to make another bid until around February/March of next year unless there is a material change in circumstances. As an example another party puts in a bid. I note that SAG has said that they would not sell their stake which would prevent another bid as SAG will effectively stop TPG becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of another company.

I see from the Belfast Harbour website that less than two weeks after Whitdawn has berthed Coralwater is due in on the 13 September for the day. I wonder why all these oil and chemical products are needed anyone want to hazard a guess.

I have just got back from having a look at the Azura or what I could see from the gate as you are not allowed further than that. On the way back as I was passing Samson or Goliath not sure which but it was the first I came to I distinctly heard the sounds of work going on in a building by it. Not sure what was going on but no ships are showing as being berthed in either BBD or BDD.

Also while at SRQ to the right and down a bit I saw what looked like earth extraction work going on these may be site improvement works. Does anyone have any idea what they could be. I will try and upload the photos I took on Friday.

dactions ref 12.33 post I have just read the circular and it has almost managed to convince me to vote for the motions. The strategy does not appear to be more than to focus on the consultancy side of the business. Very little information is given about the non consultancy part of the company other than they will be managed. There is no information about the cost cutting strategy except it will save £1m not sure how. Overall not impressed by the attempt at persuasion.

I have read today's RNS with interest and note the last sentence which to an extent undermines it's argument that TPG has a bright future. I will read the strategy with care. I am currently minded to give the Board an opportunity to prove that they can deliver either capital or income growth. However, they have not so far inspired me with confidence.

Si_Derman ref 19.16post In this instance I think you are blaming the wrong person. The issue is with the Northern Ireland Executive who seem to be treating the application for a marine license like a fine malt that has to be laid and allowed to mature.

oldtramp ref 10.37 post I must confess that this makes me nervous. If team Resolute is seen as the favourite and then loses out the share price night take a bigger hit than if it was considered a long shot and won. Having said this my personal view is that for political reasons the contract will go to Team Resolute as it offers work spread around more of the UK than Team UK.

I see from vesselfinder that the cargo ship Widor will be visiting Methil on the 7 September. I am not sure if it is delivering to somewhere else in Methil other than the fabrication plant.

This ties in with the end of the presentation yesterday so the presentation probably also has something to do with it.

dactions ref 14.48 post unless somebody else makes an offer in which case they may make a counter offer SAG will not be able to make another attempt for around 6 - 12 months. If they get over 25% they can block a special resolution. Also I suspect that they havve the votes to have the two directors voted on to the Board at the EGM.
