My point was specific to the Dorset Spirit it is only three years old so is too new to be converted as I am not sure that the costs of building together with related costs and ROI would have been recouped yet.

Chitta123 ref 09.15 post I have just checked the original LinkedIn post that first suggested that the Dorset Spirit was on route to Belfast. The Dorset Spirit was not mentioned by name but ThisTimeNextYeer was able to identify it. The post said it was under tow for repair. While in principle the suggestion that a ship could be converted for storage of LNG cannot be discounted I do not think that this is the case in relation to Dorset Spirit. While it is strange that it is making the journey across the Atlantic from Canada to Belfast as it is only three years old I would be surprised if it is for a conversion to be used for LNG storage.

mcadder ref 13.30 post I have not read the scientific or planning evidence so can I ask do you know what it says in brief. I know in England the planning officer would make a recommendation to the planning committee has anything similar been done in this case?

Am I the only person who got a letter from the Board in the post enclosing a Notice of the Requisitioned Meeting for the 1 October 2021 in case my broker had not told me about it. If I had not already voted this would have tipped the balance for me to vote in favour of the resolutions. The letter smacks of desperation and I was always told it is rude to write in red.

On Monday the MoD Ministers will be answering questions in the House of Commons. The Questions I have noted that may be of interest are:

Mr Kevan Jones (North Durham): If he will define the term UK content within the
Fleet Solid Support Ship contract. - Kevan Jones is the MP who led the debate on teh Maritime Industry in Westminster Hall this week.

Mr Philip Hollobone (Kettering): What assessment he has made of the potential
effect of the creation of the National Shipbuilding Office on (a) the number
of ships being built in the UK and (b) the amount of (i) British technology, (ii)
components and (iii) steel in those ships.

Radders99 ref 11.38 post It depends if they want to go for a premier listing they need a three year trading history. I am not sure if a move to the main market at these prices would be a good idea. A move nearer a £1 share price may have more chance of getting a price that better reflects a proper value of the company. I am not sure if Lottie123 knows if a move to the main market can be done by way of an IPO

Chrisatrdg ref 11.10 post what I found encouraging is what was to their left and behind them I counted three people having conversations. So there is clearly interest from visitors. I wonder if the comment was figuratively speaking as in they were between the cranes or is the Navy coming to Belfast in that there is a contract due. Judging by what was said earlier in the week I think it is the second.

spudtheplumber ref 08.51 post I am not sure that is right. It may be the case that the client does not want anything said about what is being done on the ship. I would observe that the loss of revenue while it is laid up runs into the millions so I doubt that it would be laid up for three and a half months unless it was necessary.

BlairPeach ref 07.56 post I noted the rather curious wording in relation to the Azura I have just looked again at my photos from my recent visit to Belfast. While no men working on the quayside there are indications of work such as containers adjacent to the Azura mid way down the length of the ship. In addition while there I saw a taxi drop somebody off and there was at least one person in High Visibility coveralls. The impression I got was that what ever work that was going on was going on inside the ship.

I was not expecting this RNS as we are due a trading update at the end of the month. That said this is welcome news. I note that INFA have passed the initial stage for two tenders totalling £1.8bn both of which they have a reasonable chance of getting in my opinion. Interesting what was said about the Virgin cruise ship. The Appledore contract sounds interesting as well could it be a conversion as the fabrication halls are being used.
