What you are referring to is the EGM that is being called at the request of SAG who are seeking to remove 2 directors and replacing them with two SAG directors. If the resolutions are passed then it is highly likely that in 6 - 12 months SAG will return with a new offer. If TPG's performance and share price has improved then we might see an improved offer compared with the indicative offer.

I note in summing up the Minister did flag up a new tender that is coming up from the Department of Transport for ships for Trinity House and related organisations. In addition reference was made to new funding streams that may becoming available. On the National Shipbuilding Strategy all the Minister would say is that it will be published this year.

In the debate Jim Shannon MP made a specific reference to Harland and Wolff. He went as far as asking the Minister to reward them with contracts.

oldtramp ref 11.15 post an interesting development this would seem to be the first move by INFA in involvement in wider sector issues. I must confess I cannot see an immediate path to revenue generation but this is a feasibility study so further down the line it may become clear.

Current guidance from INFA is that they will breakeven this year. Going by figures from Cenkos that would require around £41m. I know that the figure for the year suggested by INFA was £30m. In the June trading update the figure for revenues was £9m if you add to that £15m of the £26m Saipem contract which Cenkos says is due this year. This gives us £24m of known revenues. Unknown revenues include Azura and the three ship deal due from October and about six other dockings. So what I am trying to figure out what would happen to the share price if the current guidance is not changed and INFA does better than the guidance.

Lottie123 ref 08.37 post I have just seen this must have missed it earlier. I am not sure that Navantia would make a move to bid for INFA. Principally for the reason you say current policy requires that 60% of work on renewables has to be local content. The other reason is that any bid attempt would be held up by a referral to the Secretary of State for him to decide whether to call in the proposed bid on National Security grounds.

Jabido ref 12.11 post I have listened to it and apart for IM, and I agree that a decision is likely soon the Minister has had five and a half months so far that would seem long enough to come to a decision, there were some other interesting things. If they all come to pass then INFA might do better than breakeven. This would depend on the timing of payments. In particular there was a suggestion that we might see a maiden defence contract. In addition it sounds like Q4 will see more dockings than in the previous three quarters combined.

I note that there was a comment suggesting that INFA takes over Ferguson Marine. Note the response from that troublemaker.

Interesting RNS Navantia has a pre existing JV with Windar and now they are looking to add INFA to it after six years. This would seem to imply that they need to expand available facilities or they want to add a UK company to enable them to bid for work around the North and Irish Seas. Potentially very lucrative.
