Surely the banks have only pulled the lower rate mortgages as they are a profit making business and why sell someone a mortgage for 4% when they can wait and bump them with a higher rate and make more profit for the bank.

The next rise will probably be in another month as the spikes usually happen every two or three months. You could sell and buy on the drop as I usually do but there is nothing to say that the next spike won’t be the one that gets this rolling. After sitting at 0.5p for some time if this makes it to 1p there is bound to be a sell off?

Rxdav, Psn s forward sales is till 2025. I said if a lot pulled out they would still have sales to outlast 2023. There is no reason to suggest people will cancel apart from wild speculation that people can’t afford more money even though no one knows the financial status of any of the buyers!

The housing market if it were to collapse affects a lot more businesses than what works on the sites and is a bigger impact than worrying if the price of your home drops!

Yea it’s already getting said interest rates won’t go as high as predicted and what’s to say they will even go ad high as what the article is even stating. No one knows what will happen till it does and the papers just love all this scare mongering for their headlines.

Surely if the government increases interest rates it will increase their debt burden? So keeping rates low is in their interests.

Karv, There won’t be many people who have bought shares that are in profit on this share.

In 2016 it dropped into the £11’s the a couple of years later it was £33 and at the start of covid it was in the £13’s then up to £32. Psn is the busiest it has ever been for sales so the institutions will be back in in force. Probably after the November trading update but I wouldn’t count on it as good news isn’t helping any share in todays market!

Gold finger, You posted you were at a £300k loss a couple of days ago but you only bought into here at end of August by your own admission. To have that sort of loss you would of had to put nearly £1m in but a only having a £10k rise doesn’t support that level.

Also persimmon has forward sales till 2025 so even if a few pull out they will have easily forward sales to outlast 2023. If more people buy the forward sales could go even bigger,

There is no guarantee of a dividend as they are going to propose it to the board. If they confirm it 100% this share may change? I sold out after the spike on earnings day but keep looking at the price to re enter.

That or there is more money to be made shorting other stocks as the market is mental at the minute and some good prices to be had.
