Putin does not want peace. remember, he’s the guy who launched a full-scale war of aggression and land-grab.

he wants to go down in history as the tsar who restored russia’s superpower status and gained dominion over the whole european landmass.

(putin probably also doesn’t want to be killed by his own crew, who might reasonably ask at some point, what the heck was all that for? - is that it?)

Presumably the other differences from FSPv1.0 might be that the war in ukraine, and now the minerals extortion racket deal, have somehow -

1) miraculously increased the amounts of metal that EUA has rights to?

2) miraculously lowered the costs of extracting & processing such metals in the kola peninsula?

3) miraculously turbocharged the global prices people pay for such metals?

B1ll, i think the crucial difference compared with FSPv1.0 is that putin has proved by his conduct over the last three years what a reliable, trustworthy and honest leader he is, of a land where the rule of law and property rights are deeply respected and upheld without fear or favour by the impartial courts. before the invasion of ukraine, one or two people might have had some teeny-tiny doubts about russia as a jurisdiction to invest in, but apparently it’s all totally fine now.

CS could persuade the ukrainians to invade the kola peninsula, then perhaps trump could be persuaded to offer military assistance to putin in exchange for US investors being allowed preferential rights to invest in EUA assets? - that would add a little zing.

meanwhile, i have probably overlooked this somewhere in the froth of posts this morning, but could someone kindly explain please, in what ways has the US / ukrainian minerals deal -

(A) increased the amount of metals that EUA owns rights to?

(B) decreased EUA’s costs of extraction/processing/storage/distribution?

(C) increased the prices that people globally will pay for the relevant metals?

… since those are the things that EUA’s underlying ‘value’ rests on…

Crypto, i don’t think we are disagreeing per se? …. you believe DS holds his shares, and i am not saying that he does not … simply that there is no good way for pis to check whether he does or nor (and pointing out that as a non-director he would not face much by way of penalties if by some strange chance his declarations have been a bit, hmm, shonky).

Welcher, i don’t know whether DS still holds those shares or not.

but i do know that he is not a member of EUA’s BoD.

Crypto, presumably what CS is able to confirm is simply that DS has not notified the company about making any share sales. folks might vary in how much they would trust DS to make complete and timely disclosure of any trades.

(by and large, are russians to be trusted, do you think?)
