So although EUA rampers are trying very hard to talk up the idea of a share price spike if there is a ceasefire in ukraine, that does not seem to be linked to anything fundamental changing about what EUA is worth & whether a sale is likely.
and this, of course, is a company that has already spent years trying to sell its assets, including a long period in a formal sale process well before putin’s war, but has failed to sell any of its assets at all, even at a better point in the metals pricing supercycle.
… so the bet for the rampers here, is can they persuade others pis to buy EUA shares on pure sentiment, to create a spike which gecko et al can dump into, leaving those newer retail pis holding shares in a company that still hasn’t sold any assets, with no change to underlying value coming from ceasefire?
the ramp might work, of course, since this is AIM and plenty of story stocks have pump and dumps where quick-fingered rampers flip out. … but without genuine asset sales taking place, or profitable mining + product sales, it’s still just a zero sum where the newbies lose in order to allow the rampers to profit.
there’s an old and important saying in stock markets, ‘buy on rumour, sell on news’…. in relation to possible ceasefire in ukraine, is this the rumour phase or the news phase?
