Meanwhile, back to EUA?24 Apr 2025 21:40
One of the main recent rampy narratives on this board has been the idea that if there is a ceasefire in ukraine (whether a just one or not), the EUA share price will soar.
but very, very little rationale or justification for that belief has been offered.
from my own perspective, i do *not* believe that a ceasefire in ukraine would
1) increase the amount of metals in the ground EUA has rights to
2) decrease the costs of extracting/processing those metals
3) increase the likely selling prices for those metals in the global economy.
(although i can see, that *if* enough punters buy into the narrative, then there could be a short-lived share price spike simply as a self-fulfilling prophecy! … but that, of course, would be very different from any increase in real *value* at EUA - remember, price is what you pay, value is what you get.)
it would be genuinely very interesting to hear, from enthusiasts’ perspectives, what the rationale might be to support the idea that an ukraine ceasefire would increase EUA value. tia for any civil, on-topic, thoughtful replies.
[& at least it would make a nice on-topic change from fascist apologia, maga worship, endless personal insults, umpteen random short-term price predictions, etc etc.]
