ginksy, i was not suggesting that they would issue warrants
with an *exercise price* of 1.5p or 2p. rather, i was suggesting
that they could probably get a placing away at e.g. 4.5p, if the
placees are also given freebie warrants that they could *sell* on
for at least 1.5p. ...that way, the placees would be in profit just so
long as they could sell their placing shares for anything over 3p.

(or e.g, 5p placing, with warrants they could sell for 2p, etc etc.)

i see a couple of folks on twitter are chattering wistfully about
osa wanting to get a placing away at 4.5p or 5p. ...it should be
perfectly possible to do *if* they chuck in enough freebie long
dated warrants worth 1.5p - 2p, but then of course that would
mean the *real* price of the raise ( i.e. impact including the full
dilution on the earnings per share after warrants taken account)
would be more like 2.5p - 3.5p. ... i suppose the hope would be
that they could try trumpeting the headline price as being a raise
“at a premium” and hope that they could ramp in some gullible
new punters who don’t understand warrant impact on share value.

we already know that everybody who put in a bid for a marginal
oil field will be awarded the rights to participate for a certain
percentage in a field, providing they can pony up the required
‘signature’ fees to the nigerian government. ... so presumably
they will be trying to use that news to pump the price for a raise.

the problem is, everybody already knows this, & everybody already
knows they need to raise cash. so osa needs to build in some kind of
additional positive surprise to boost s/p. ? how about actually landing
one of those three deals they kept burbling about? - that might do it.

curious, one of the least impactful investor
calls ever known on AIM. quite bizarre.

- this isn’t yet another of the umpteen vaccines, it’s a
treatment to try to ameliorate disease progression
and impact. not so many of those about, so imv it is
pretty good news for global health in the pandemic.

(...but i don’t think it makes a big difference to
overall commercial challenges facing GSK...)

akramms makes it sound as though trafigura have already agreed
to provide finance. - but that is not actually true, according to the
published RNSs. the MOU simply says that trafigura *might* be
prepared to provide some funding, at unspecified rates & terms.

the recent share price action and dismal volume is telling a rather
more realistic story. this company has a pressing need to raise cash,
and failed to complete a recent attempted placing. ... caveat emptor.

pretty dismal 10 year s/p graph, tho' accumulated
dividends have presumably been some comfort.

aviva doesn't need a genius CEO. ...just one who can do plain vanilla competently,
without trying to rebuild some kind of shambling, pseudo-conglomerate that has no
useful synergies. that's what the accountants who used to run aviva tried for years.
