Wolves is a greenster to me so I am not party to his no doubt inspiring posts. It's good to see however (from reactions) that he is bringing a bit of thought provoking philosophy to the board.
The idea of a nasty surprise for all holders is postulated by someone who themselves is a holder.
Is the inference to be drawn that Wolves predictions are valueless because what is coming will surprise him?
And if he is in for a nasty surprise does that infer that rest of us it will in fact be a nice surprise?
I'm almost (but not quite) tempted to unfilter him.

Can anyone give an example of a biotech who have not had delays to expected timelines. Bet if you can its the exception rather than the rule!
I can't think of any and I've been invested in a few.
In the context of the industry they are in AVCT have imo not had inordinate delays.
Unless this is understood you will suffer needless frustration imo.

Inteesting that some lazy arguments persist that our valuation of a third of a billion is mainly Tdue to us announcing that we would bring out Covid Tests.
If that's all it took you'd understand ODX at a third of the valuation GDR at a tenth and BRH at a twentieth feeling a little sore!
The truth of the matter of course is that the market gives AVCT a modicum of credit for its work in other areas and the future potential of affimers. Nothing like fair value of course.
The above is not a reason for frustration. More like a reason for anticipation.
It behoves us all (if we are serious investors to fully research this beauty of a company.
If you don't do that you will for example agonise about whether to sell/topslice at lower prices than would do yourself justice imo.

The scots Cabinet are meeting tomorrow to consider among other things whether to extend the delay in school opening (currently NO schools are opening till at least the 18th)
From a Scottish perspective Boris' pussyfooting re schools delay seems bizarre (all imo)

Would never have thought I could describe the AVCT board as such but over the last couple of days you have imo excelled yourselves guys and gals.
The knowledge of what the board can be like will sustain us during the inevitable future trollfests (as will imo the steadily rising shareprice)earear
2020 was a great year for AVCT and a "meh" year for certain shareholders due to timing.
This year looks great for all of us in an investing sense (if we just hold).
That doesn't make us immune from the sad personal tragedies that continue to blight the country but a bit of hope and a bit of humour makes the journey easier.
So lets stay safe and get rich!

Just thought I would refer you to an interesting article posted by Merchantbanker on the ODX site on 30 Dec at 18.23.
This was in the context of a discussion about which reagent Mologic were using (they don't seem to have clarified that).
Merchantbanker reckoned they were using antibodies and in that context posted the article.
It seems to me that the salient points are;
1.The Professor quoted is involved in a 14 month project funded by Mologic to develop diagnostics for COVID-19.
2. They are in this project producing cloned antibodies from COVID - reactive B cells.
3. The best of these antibodies "are to be used" by Mologic as the basis for improved LFTs.
Got me thinking.
Bearing in mind the 14 month length of the project Mologic (like us all) expect Covid diagnostics to be around for a long time yet.
Also it seems does it not that Mologic are acknowledging that their current antigen LFT (whether or not antibody reagent involved) can be improved upon.
It appears that they can't obtain affimers for the purpose?

Re the LFD situation
23RD November - Test complete. Saliva and anterior nasal sampling being worked on.
21st December - First Clinical Trial (at Porton Down according to well connected posters) finished (if this can be inferred from Al expecting the results of it "soon". Interesting that Al (having possibly received feedback from Porton Down?) is very pleased indeed. Sampling obviously cracked.
31 December - New testing validated testing strategies are being piloted across the UK. if we are not the Durham one (thanks Jep) there is no way we are not one of the others.

I'm not sure that it has ever been announced what reagent Mologic are using.
I wouldn't rule out Aptamers.
While Aptamer Group may have the rights to the particular Aptamers in their library including their "Optimer" other manufacturers will no doubt have created other aptamers (haven't they been kicking around since 1990?)
