My prediction........
AVCT goes down and ODX goes up till 8.15.
Then both reverse direction.... AVCT big time!

Potential share price explosion time relative to the cancer treatment looks as though it is likely to be 4 months into the dose escalation phase when the readouts will show whether its safe and tolerable.
What surprised me about the RNS is that there is a second part of phase one which goes on to explore anti tumour activity.
Makes me wonder what is going to be dealt with in later Phases (if any)
I see Ophidian on 23 Dec tweeted AVCT asking whether after a successful safety read out they would simply be registering AVA6000 as a modified release version of (the already registered) Doxorubicin rather than going down the new drug route.
We shall see!

I remember defending Hants on one occasion before when he got pelters for saying that a particular rise to 200 was a technical rise (which was exactly what it turned out to be).
I agree with Arnold that Hants has done nothing wrong.
He is not causing the current fall back in the share price.
He may well be interpreting it absolutely correctly.
He seems to me to be a transparent enough character (and I would guess that he will admit it if his current tactics backfire)
For what its worth it seems to me that AVCT is sailing under the radar valuation wise in a way you very rarely find even on AIM. I suspect that many of you like me can't believe the rest of the market isn't seeing what we can see!
Are we in danger of confirmation bias? Well that's something I try to guard against.
We have already spoken about how inordinate weight has been given to the vaccine rollout. I agree that the Oxford vaccine approval will be given a huge fanfare by the Government by the Papers and by a weary population who need to hope.
And as for our share price following on the announcement?
It may dip but those who are out and waiting better then pile in pretty quickly because imo we will then see the mother of all bounces.

Risk is an interesting subject.
You are obviously experienced in calculating it in the sporting sense.
Every one of us is expert in calculating it in the "life in general" sense.
In the investment sense............
Well being human most of us think we rather than others know best.

For what its worth in my opinion the main risk in reading these boards is that we are not fully researched enough to have formed our own independent views and are therefor susceptible to the eloquence of others who would subtly or otherwise cast doubt on our choices.
Sometimes of course it us right that we are made to rethink our strategy.
However more usually imo its better to trust information given to us by a company and CEO we trust above that provided by a fellow mushroom especially if the latter is casting aspersions on the former

The AIM market can certainly be frustrating illogical unfair. For those who don't do their research or think too short term it can be bad for your finances.
But for those who are invested in a good company and are prepared to be patient there is no better market for providing financial accretion.

interestingly most stocks increased in value some very substantially during the last 3 week period.
We however decreased in value by 10%.
The only stocks that did worse were N4P (who were coming down from a high) and BRH (whos price has been skewed by the special dividend they paid).
Make of that what you will!
My interpretation is we are sitting on a powder keg!
I intend to continue publishing the sleepy register next year (until we are top!!!!! lol)

Yep agreed good for Mologic and the focus is on low to middle income countries on a not for profit basis.
ODX is spiking so good for them too.
The quote from the LSTM Prof made it clear that the test would assist in confirming epidemic hotspots more comprehensive surveillance and rapid identification of SYMPTOMATIC patients.
So a completely different market to AVCT.

I've missed my fair share too.
My substantial AVCT holding has meant me missing out on AFC PHE etc stocks I Know and like.
In a strange kind of way I am really encouraged when other AIM stocks bag even if I am not in them.
It means AIM is working as it should.
I knew before they bagged that these two and others were worth far more than they were priced at (probably still are).
Did I make the wrong choice? I don't believe so.
You can't be in everything.
Ought I have spread my portfolio more?
Imo too much risk of the duds detracting from the winners.
I'm content with my investment strategy (very content)

What he's saying earlstone is that clinical validation paves the way to CE marking for professional use. CE marking can be done by AVCT themselves on the strength of the clinical validation.
Home use will depend on MHRA approval.

OK. Covid Tests were what brought the majority of us here.
There is however a wider context.
It's what non researched detractors from other boards fail to grasp or if they do won't address (with the honourable exception of Merchantbanker who imo put himself in pole position for "Brave Troll of the Year" by actually dissing Affimers)
The reason why we are excited about our tests are these little beauties.
The reason why Merchant is excited about the Mologic Test is that they are a "Good Company"
But we knew before this RNS and had it confirmed today and will have it rammed home in any future licensing RNS that
1. Affimers are high performance
2. They have been engineered for a wide range of applications
3. They can selectively bind difficult targets (and are better at this than antibodies and aptamers - sorry Mologic!)
4. They are a superior alternative to antibody based ligands.
All that affimers have needed before achieving their destiny is finance and visibility.
Who can stop them in 2021 - Year of the Affimer!
