There may be an even better price over the coming weeks as I am pretty sure a PI sell off will continue and we may genuinely see the 49% stake be sold off at a huge discount. Pretty exciting really - I made a lot of money out of the Woodford sell off. Nothing better in the stock market than a stock being driven cheaper through a distressed seller as it will always get back to true value.

See it like buying a house which has been repossessed. The only thing which could stop the bargains will be positive news flow which may interrupt the fire sale... ideally we have full sale, accumulate and then the positive news begins.

My take is that it won’t mean much long term for SAE but for shareholders could offer a short term buying op/paper loss as they hold a significant number of shares and I guess if liquidated will need to offload them?? Not sure I have this 100% but that is what I am working off.

That’s what I keep thinking but the RNS says:

“Aim to decide within 21 days”

And

“From receipt of the planning officers report”.

I guess we have no idea how quickly they got the report... maybe only yesterday?? An using the word “aim” gives breathing space to a civil servant who does not believe in working past 5.01pm ever.... I must use “aim” more often in my work commitments.

Hopefully back in 20’s next week (or at the very least still in the teens!!)

Obviously you would expect an update either way but today is the deadline for the Welsh government to call in and if that deadline passes with no news then happy days?

I'm in SAE and here and have topped up both this morning.

SAE seems slightly more binary play on planning permission news at the moment so a little worried that a drop is a leak that it hasn't been granted - that said it is double your money (or nearly) time within a week if it does come through.

EQT feels a slower burner but with less squeaky bum moments. I think the drop here is more to do with momentum and people sitting on large profits who see them diminishing fast and sell before seeing it completely wiped. We went from 0.5p to 3p without taking a breath so feels right to be consolidating here without news. As said below - the less holders we have from the 0.4p days and the more holders we have on 2p averages the better so hopefully the sellers are taking profit rather than being spiked on a loss.

Yet Porky - no one answered my question earlier about where medium term revenue is coming from or what kevel it will settle at when LFTs become freely available?

Is there an investment case for NCYT alongside a successfuly LFT roll out or is the NCYT investment case that the LFTs will never materialise? Is the latter then there is the reason for the drop as sentiment on LFT improves.

I get there will still be some demand for PCR just not the same demand we have seen

Genuine question from a holder here who is deciding whether to top up, hold or sell all....

If LFT tests start being used on mass from April then what reason do the bulls have here as to why NCYT with their PCR tests will continue to get orders in any sort of significant volume? I get they can be used to analyse variants and initially there will be capacity issues with LFT which PCR can fill but quite quickly over time it feels like LFT is the way forward and I am not sure how NCYT keep up sales.

One of my smaller holdings so not as well researched as I should be so any help appreciated.

If you’ve been here since February last year then why are you complaining? Wasn’t this about 20p in February last year? And now 700p 1 year later and still not happy...?

What happens if planning is rejected - and then appeals are also rejected - Do we just own a redundant ex coal powerstation? How much of current SP is baked into getting permission? I get that it will go up if we do but where does it drop to if we don't?

You know its not good when they list the successful injury record ahead of actually stating how much Gold they produced and sold........

What I never understand in these situations is that whilst we only represent a small fraction of the company's ownership surely the majority of shareholders would fail to argue with this so why don't we get rid of the culprits at the top if they are so bad.

Not just with BIDS but across plenty of examples I see angry shareholders but this translates to angry owners which should translate to fired bosses? Very simplistic I know but why can't it be so?

Rather than asking if there is any reason why this has dropped you are better asking if there is a reason why it went up so far.

A good update drove this towards 5.5p -6p (fair value) and then the SP went crazy (which was great). However this push to 10p wasn't backed by anything:

CFO sold some shares at circa 6.5p
Company updated the market saying it knew of no reason behind the SP increase
A family close to the business were offered shares at 5.5p

And despite the above when the price sits at 7-7.5p people think some horrendous dark arts has occurred to their holding, they have been robbed of their paper profits. When in truth the clues are all in black and white above - the right price for this company right now is probably 5.5p - 7p.

One day hopefully PHE will be worth a lot more but I would say the SP has found the right level or in fact sits 1 pence above where it should be. When we get a positive update or see directors buying at current price that will be your cue to expect price increases.

I have sold out at a small loss today (actually I do still have a tiny amount left in my SIPP). I am sure that avact will one day be a great investment but I, like many others am very frustrated with the delay on Covid tests. It is Feb 2021. I appreciate the arguments that covid is not entirely going away but I would suspect that this time next year test demand will be a fraction that it is today.

SNG is the no brainer covid stock for me followed by NCYT (although this is priced in somewhat).

I will look to buy back in to Avact when there is no covid premium in the sp. I suggest under 80p but hard to value.

Nb - watch this start shooting up now and me madly panic to buy back my shares at a premium.

I didn’t know we were waiting for this news to be honest I guess I hadn’t given planning permission much though (either that it was required or we didn’t yet have it). Not sure this will hugely boost sp - although was hopefully due a blue day anyway.
