Why pay off debt when oil is at $60? Whats the point.

If it were up to me they would be taking on more debt and making more acquisitions. While energy is unloved (which is about to change any day now), that makes much more sense. I like buybacks also, the share price is not going to be anywhere near these levels when oil goes through $100.

I suppose it's just as well it's not up to me.

Why would you sell?! Each to their own of course but what a waste.

Energy is leading the charge in 2026. Exxon all time high, XLE ETF all time high, Chevron nearly ATH, Shell and BP moving much higher. Money is quietly moving onto the sector and you are moving out, and all while oil is at $60ish. What's your downside risk compared to your upside potential reward?

Never, ever, waste a good bullmarket, especially when you've been getting kicked around in a brutal 3 year correction.

I said yesterday and i'll say it again, the die is cast, there is no stopping this move in energy, ITS HAPPENING NOW (see above).

Agree with that.

Gold and silver are due for a pullback but the underlying conditions for higher prices in the future are still there. It woud make sense for the big 3rd wave in oil prices to begin following that pullback, but who knows when it will happen.

And for companies that have been pulling up the draw bridge, paying down debt, consolidating their position etc, they will not be the main beneficiaries of this next phase of the oil bull market. Its the companies that have been expanding, making acquisitions during this period of severe downward pressure on oil prices. Those companies are going to be multibaggers.

And unforeseen disasters aside, Harbour will likely be one of them.

I say never going to happen, it could go to 50p, but we just need oil to hold and then its very unlikely.

But then again, its a mad world.

I think the update was to be expected. The sell-off was disappointing but not surprising. Energy companies are among the worst daily performers on earnings/updates days.

The projected FCF figure of $600m might be a shrewd move, given a dividend cut is on the cards in March. A significantly upwards revised FCF figure in March will likely take the sting out of it.

The sell-off looks to have stopped today which is another great sign of buyers coming in. Uness oil dumps big time 150p is never going to happen.

I keep harping about oil, but the BIG move is coming and we will all get a massive payday. It might be days, weeks, or months, but it's coming.

In the last few trading days we have gone through the 10, 21, 40 and 50 week moving averages.

100 wk = 240p

200 wk = 279p

The 240p level looks critical. A nice bullflag developing wth a 230ish price target (for what it's worth).... But i feel like we are going to need a catalyst to send a rocket up the share price push through 240p level. Let's see what Thursday brings..

And the Gold (and Silver) price is telling us that the worlds trust in America and the Dollar is weakening.

I was a big fan of Trump tbf, in his first term, but the bloke is a sellout, at best!
