RE: AML's 'strategy' is all at sea3 Mar 2025 16:42
yes, i have a position, i bought in the belief that it has a future and that it can’t go any lower (well obviously it can but if thats the case it has no future).
aml has famously never been profitable, but it could be if it reined in some of the past ambition to build more cars than it can sell and develop new technologies and markets that are a poor fit.
is it really a step change environment? on another thread there is reference to maserati who recently committed to an all electric future, that worked well! there are a very few ev or hybrid supercars, the market is challenging and the technology similarly so. for all the gloss and *******s people talk, if you make a stunningly beautiful product that appeals to the heart you’re going to find buyers. granted not many, but enough. get that right and you have a viable business! i’m confident that hallmark understands this and will focus energies on core products that have the greatest appeal and not overly complex and expensive solutions for a very fickle few.
