We just need the first bit of news to break to trigger the rise.

Yup, the rest of us sitting tight in anticipation. Hopeful there will be some news breaking before the end of the month and then, with any luck, some regular updates on progress to chivvy the SP along

This will ratchet up with time but only when outputs are confirmed and take-off deals announced will it really erm, take-off! I think we are going to have to sit tight for a few months yet but it might make 20p on the back of approvals etc.

Kind of you to sympathise but you have to accept what comes sometimes, others will do a lot worse than me and if I’m honest I’m happy to have a handful of duff investments as long as my overall portfolio is doing ok. If there is a more positive upside to come in the next few months the damage will be relatively small as my holding isn’t enormous. I do expect something positive one way or another!

Thants for that Jeremy, I confess I tuned out a while back knowing my stock holding was in the red and I was planning to sit tight. That all makes perfect sense and explains things very well.

Frankly I’m minded to accept any offer that gets me out with minimal loss. I’ve lost faith in the BoD and the future strategy which look to be woefully out of touch with global shifts. Having said that, I bought in because it was (is) fundamentally, a good company and I like to invest in the home market. I’ll keep my eyes peeled for further up-dates!

So what might a realistic offer be? As you say, the writing seems to be on the wall with the current management and direction. There are many of us with small holdings who feel a buyout could be a welcome relief but don’t want to face a big loss. I need something approaching 400p to give me any sort of return but that looks a little unrealistic in this climate if SAG have acquired their current position for significantly less. What is the true value of the business?

Screening started on 8th April so 12-15 working days means the end of the month. Holding tight for then!

Or…the SP may not drop and you’ll miss out, can’t have your cake and eat it! Too few trades to make any difference at the moment and only some news will change things.

Another slow day by the look of things. A couple of 50k sells but just 300k traded in total at an average of £1500. It all seems to have stagnated, which is no bad thing as it does at least stop the day traders interfering. Standing by for good news….

There have been fewer than 1m shares traded at an average trade value of about £1000. The only way the SP is going to move more than a few tenths of a penny is when some positive news is released. AH and MW know this and have pretty much full control over the PR. Today’s RNS I’m sure is a precursor to some positive news, why else issue the performance shares now?

Well indeed, that looks to be largely the case, however, in GEX there seems to be a good pro portion of shareholders who are in for the long term and not rushing to take a quick 20%. With so few shares being traded it’s hard to create a run one way or the other, nobody is going to spook me into selling with random negative blather!

I have a live buy order for 25k at 10p that has remained unfulfilled for a couple of days. I suspect we might be looking at a slight dip before the next climb

Well when trading increases there is usually corresponding SP movement (or vice-versa). The more trading the more fun I suppose as long as the price climbed that is!

Yeah, not the news I was expecting but maybe a precursor to a positive announcement. As you say Silverlight, it is in their (and our) interests to keep the market buoyant with anticipation and the SP on an upward trajectory (if only to help the chartists get it right). I’m guessing they locked in for 24 months for a good reason and so are expecting big things within that timescale.

As soon as there is some positive news on progress, otherwise I expect more of the same and a very gradual upward drift as those shares not being held in sticky hands are day traded. At some point soon there will be very few available. Gauging from comments on here, there are probably 50 people with significant holdings of 0.25%-1.5%. In addition to the founders’ holding. That probably only leaves less than a million shares in circulation.

If this does go big I’ll have too much money in my pension! The tax man cometh and all that! Oh well we can dream of first world problems!

I bought in last August at 18p and topped up as it dropped. With a breakeven at 7.5p I’m happy to see this steady drift upward if only to discourage me from buying any more! I don’t want to be greedy and will sell a proportion at some point soon to cover my investment just in case. It’s my pension after all!

With 1.3mm holding you’ll be well made if we see anything like the speculative numbers. I have 0.5mm and am licking my lips!

Well predictably climbing again but very few shares now available it would seem. We’re all hanging on for more than a single figure %age rise.

Drifting back down now though, and it’s a safe bet it will pick up again shortly. Day traders paradise ATM with an easy 10% up for grabs. That could all change with the first sniff of news mind.
