Crikey it doesn’t take long for the market to suck the joy out of some good news does it?! I guess as usual some insiders had access to the announcement beforehand which pushed it up prior to the announcement and then sold out straight after!

I need something good here to make up for dire situation at RKH (Falkland Islands exploration)!!

Results were 13 October at 7am last year so next Thursday is certainly a good bet. However blockbuster news is likely to drop separately from the annual results!

I need over a quid to break even and would be surprised if that ever happened so I have written off the 35 grand or so lost on this against gains achieved elsewhere and so now look at 5p as my starting point and would be happy to 10 bag from there!! It’s so frustrating when we know there is loads of oil down there, it’s been located, it would be profitable and on the back of Sea Lion profits all the other reserves down there could be identified and extracted. I think it’s an absolute no brainer for a company with money. The world will need oil for decades to come especially once the world realises the con it has been had on climate change, renewables and all that tosh which is costing us all a fortune. I was intrigued to read that the oceans produce 10x more CO2 than humans and that almost 50% of human CO2 is produced by China and USA. The U.K. produces about 1% of human CO2 so let’s not clog up our economy with loads of alternative energy sources when we have much bigger things to worry about.

Like Sean56 I am in my sixties and I am sitting on a loss of well over £35,000 on the DES/FOGL/RKH disaster after buying into the story 13 years ago. Still hope oil from the Falklands may happen albeit against all the odds now!!

Still intrigued by Stephen Parkers tweet a few weeks ago “into the lab” (or similar) and wonder what he was referring to!

I wonder if the fact that most of the Directors of SAR are over 60 might become a factor in determining the timing and speed of a potential takeover of SAR. Surely like most LTH here they will want to cash in on all their hard work whilst they are still young enough to enjoy the fruits of their labour? For me this would make a sale or deal of some sort likely sooner rather than later and at a more conservative price than some of the more optimistic predictions? In the end I think Thoth’s order final 28p won’t be far out.

Having seen the impact the announcement of a subscription by a HNWI can have there must be potential for a HNWI who likes trading to pump in a million quid via subscription wait for the RNS about his investment and then sell immediately to make a quick quarter of a million. Assume they can sell when they want after investing?

It’s funny how the mind works. The sideways movement since August 20th leaves you feeling a bit flat and disappointed in spite of a 10 fold increase since September 2020! The heady days of mid August when we touched 9.5 seem like an age ago when the rises seemed almost surreal! However still believe a hell of a trip lies ahead of us and taking all factors into consideration another 10 fold increase seems plausible if we are not taken out before then.

Has this impacted on the Exscientia share price?

I think Directors selling with inside information is possibly more of an issue. I was invested in a company many years ago where the Directors made significant sales immediately before the closed period for Director dealing and when the results arrived they were so bad the share price dropped by 90%. Why and how they were never prosecuted I will never know and although I do not recall the exact facts I still remember the stench it left for ordinary shareholders at the time.

Hi Stoney many thanks I had a look at the original purchase of Sierra and I bought £2,500 worth in early 2019 and now they are worth just over £500 so not one of my best!! Obviously not one I look at regularly because not as exciting as SAR!

I’ll put my hand up and say I invested in Sierra in mid 2019 at $18 so not showing any significant return to date. However of course it was as high as $150 a couple of years before that but would be staggered if it reached those dizzy heights again!!
