Ah the Casino Square in Monaco. Happy memories of a Champions League footie trip there in 1998 and a fabulous meal there at The Grill on the top floor of the Hotel de Paris which I could only afford because of the dotcom stock market boom at the time!! I plan to take my wife there if this hits 28p; the highlight is the roof of the restaurant that opens up to reveal the stars during dinner. Spectacular!

Intrigued by the pattern of HNWI subscriptions. Why are they all sort of around a million? Why not much larger or much smaller? Just wondering why they are all coming in at around a million? Has anyone seen a similar pattern elsewhere before?

SAR is already up around 36x from its low of around .0025. Only NCYT on that list has done better. Crikey if SAR got to £1 it would be 400 x up on its low which would be mind boggling!!

Sure I read somewhere that potential beneficiaries of the AGILE funding had to show an ability to raise 5 million from outside sources. If so we must be getting close to meeting that criterion.

Did Hybridan actually say anything at all about SAR & 737 on Friday or did they just ignore it completely?

Thanks Cobaltblue. I’m pretty much same as you. I sold my accountancy practice last year which was a surprise in itself (in a pandemic!) and have moved into semi retirement. If SAR gets to the fabled 28p it will mean being able to stop work completely, and to relax and do a few more things and in a bit more style than originally planned without having to watch every penny all the time.

I think there are lots like us Timbo. I wonder how many here are looking at potential “life easing” or “life changing” consequences? 25, 50 maybe 100?

Thanks Jonshare .. I will certainly miss the excitement when the deals or takeover are done. Finding another share to enjoy is another thing! The SAR is a rare occurrence and I believe we are quite lucky we dropped on the right one at the right time. There are over 1000 companies on AIM and it has taken over 10 years for SAR to get to where it is now. So the chances of dropping on another one like this are not high! I thought I was on to a similar ride with the Falklands Oil story but in spite of it looking like a nailed on good bet 10 years ago when they struck oil they ended up losing 90%. Thankfully I have got it all back and much more with SAR!

Do not forget you can transfer shares to a spouse and they will inherit the base cost you paid for your shares. So effectively you transfer part of your gains to your spouse. Then both you and your spouse will be able to use the 12,300 annual CGT tax free allowance each against any gains on sales. Also remember there are 2 rates of CGT 10% and 20%. If you are a basic rate tax payer then any taxable gains (after taking off your CGT allowance of 12,300) you make that take your combined income and capital gains up to 50,000 are only taxed at 10%. Any gains that take you above 50,000 are taxed at 20%

There may be a reasonably large number of people on here looking at life changing amounts of money if SAR gets to 28p or beyond. Just wonder how people have dealt with the tension, excitement and anticipation of the share price rises over the last few months. I find my days are defined by waking up at 7 to see if there is a red dot, waiting till 8.05 for the first share price movement, checking LSE every 15 to 30 minutes to see where the price has gone and revaluing my holding each time. It becomes almost hypnotic and hard to take your eyes off it. Just wondering how others are dealing with the emotional roller coaster this creates? As mentioned previously I have a pretty rigid sell strategy in place that helps me but it has been hard to contain the excitement over the last 3 months and focus on other things.

I agree Cubane but to be honest I am a total sceptic. I believe the planet has an incredible ability to adjust and cope with changing conditions and wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised if global warming corrected itself in time. How on earth are we going to generate all the electricity to power electric cars, trains, planes etc .. nuclear will take forever because of planning and objections, renewables are hugely costly and inefficient etc .. it will need oil! In30 years it will go full circle and everybody will realise they got it wrong with electric cars etc .. remember diesel, eggs etc etc these things just become conventional wisdom for a while then get turned on their heads.

The graph of global warming for last 100 years virtually mirrors the graph of world population growth so the long term solution is to get a grip of population growth. Shorter term the only thing we can 100% influence in the U.K. is where we build and I believe all new building in the U.K. from today must be at least 20 foot above sea level. We build around 200,000 houses a year on average in U.K. so we could replace the whole housing stock over the next 100 years at a safe distance above sea level. Simple solution.

Why isn’t the first HNWI on the list of top shareholders as the he/she has over 60 million shares?
