Well it certainly is newsworthy even with my limited understanding of the science and patent process I can see the origins of this were 18 months ago in April 2020 and now more details of the patent have become available in October 2021 so now we have a better idea of what the secret patent is about and what “ the world is likely to hear about one day”. I would be amazed if there is not an RNS or a tweet in next day or so and I would also be 95% confident that the apparent slight delay in the publishing of the results is due to this and other pending news and so that everything can come through in an orderly manner. I’d love to be able to pop into a time capsule and come back in 6 weeks time so I didn’t have to keep checking LSE every half an hour!!

Any guesstimates for opening price tomorrow? If the Patent was granted on 16th October is it likely an RNS can be prepared by 7am Monday?
My estimate would be 20% jump first thing based on news yesterday then a retrace followed by a bigger jump once an RNS is issued and digested. Then results to follow! Pure guess work of course but no doubting the fun and excitement over the weekend!!

Could the other 3 be the HMWI?

I find Small Company Sharewatch is a really good tip sheet for small company shares. Provide good in depth analysis of a small number of shares each month. Have invested in some great companies thanks to them.

I thought the Annual results would have been released by today. The later they are released the more I believe something important is brewing and SAR want things sewn up before the results are released.

Could someone confirm where when and how the secret patent was first mentioned or discussed? Can’t find anything obvious about the origin of this application .

Still working a bit!! Varied career .. Chartered Accountant in City at 24, then ran a Textile Mill (luxury home furnishings) for 13 years (sold in 1993), then developed a Sales and Marketing agency (top end furniture and furnishings) for 19 years (sold 2013), then re-qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2014 and built a small Practice of 250 clients (sold 2020). Now gradually being put out to grass so plenty of time to follow this board! Always wanted a career in investment banking so dilly away now between knocking out a few tax and VAT returns and Accounts and watching the stock market and the SAR (among others!) board! Clearly no expertise or experience in pharma but lots on here do offer great insight and I sensed a potentially life changing opportunity with SAR back in early 2011 when it first hit the news.
It’s been a long wait and still seems that way. 15p life enhancing and 50p + would be life changing!!

Looking at recent Accounts the company seems to have annual costs of around a million a year (split Directors salary and R&D) but the resulting losses are significantly softened by the R&D credit from the government (via HMRC). So the recent monies raised from HNWI of around 4 million should see us through next 3-4 years of research. However as it is most likely that major deals will be done within the next 12 months then the million pounds a year of costs becomes less significant and anyway those costs are likely to be an issue for another entity rather than ours. If deals are not done in the next 12 months there are likely to be some seriously concerned LT investors on here!!

In advance of this weeks results predict a steady up tick to above 7p and then another RNS to drop just before results are published.

As I have suggested previously all the key Directors (except Dr Reader) are well into their sixties so a deal sooner rather than later at the lower level of expectations of say up to 28p would seem more likely than the Directors hanging on until offers of > £1 might come along.
However there may a big pharma out there who is more bullish and may pay more than the much vaunted 28p. However I feel the age profile of the Directors must be a consideration.

The issue for big pharmas is do they move for SAR now and pick up a company with huge potential (potential being the apposite word of course) on the cheap (say for 10p to 20p) or do they dither and end up paying a lot more down the line?!! They have the same risk/return considerations as we small investors do!

I have had a quick look back through the RNS in early 2020 to see where the “Secret Patent” was first mooted but can’t see where this story started. Was it in an RNS or a tweet from the Company. Could anyone advise the origin of this patent application?

Mike2129 of course I understand the point you are making however perceptions of risk are personal and psychological. For me the downside risk has gone and I view the shares I have left as being a free ride so whilst there is the risk the price could fall to zero from here I have discounted that in my own mind and am focused purely on the upside. Having more than covered costs I have no triggers or stop losses if the price falls .. I only have sale triggers when the price reaches various new highs. If the price drops to zero I will have still doubled my original investment; if it goes anywhere between 28p and £3 then the life changing implications would be spectacular. I hope the same for you and everyone in here.

Totally right Thoth re downside and upside risk
I’m sure many on here may have already cashed in enough to cover their original cost so feel like me there is no longer any downside risk based on a LT view (from 2011). I have already cashed in double my original cost which leaves me with 70% of my original holding for free and so for me this balance carries only upside potential. If it’s a 4 bagger to 28p from here then brilliant if it’s a 50 bagger I wouldn’t know what to do with myself (although DB10, Bora Bora, Petrus Wine and Orient Express whilst I think about what to do spring to mind!!)

Go on SAR I dare you to finish above 7p .. been rising steadily since 13.05 today .. you never know!!
