Where are we with SAR13 Nov 2021 11:53
We have 4 key products all targeting different types of cancer all producing strong positive results so far at each stage of trialling.
CHK1/SRA737 (targeting ovarian, anogenital and prostrate cancers among others) is the most advanced after successful human trials in 19/20. Licence deal already in place with Sierra worth up to 300 million. Stalled in Summer 2019 when Sierra prioritised other product development but now in play again with Sierra planning trials in combo with AZD WEE1 in mid 2022. So no more news likely now till late 2022.
TYK2/JAK1 1801 (targeting autoimmune diseases like psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis inflammatory bowel diseases) best in class strong pre clinical results including tumour regression in mice 10/10, with US military/SRI results in mice inhibiting cytokines re Lupus, shown to be superior to Dexamethasone plus potential to treat COVID. Human clinical trials delayed from 2020 to 2021 now to 2022. So frustrating delays in progress here.
TYK2/JAK1 1802 (targeting lymphoma and leukaemia) fully patented but again human clinical trials delayed from 2020 to 2021 and now to 2022 so again frustrating delays.
FLT3 Aurora (targeting leukaemia and other blood cancers) licensed to a Chinese company in 2020 but taken back in 2021. Seeking new partner so stalled.
So it seems to me it will be next year before we see any positive advance on the scientific front.
Looking at price drivers over last 18 months.
Mid late 2020 saw price move from 0.4p to 2.5p because of positive 1801 results (mice/SRI and cytokines), US patent applications 1802, Nature article showing potential for 1801 v Covid, UKRI grant.
2021 price driven up to 9p by HNWI investment, Sierra taking up the 737 baton again in combo with AZD WEE1, great test results for 1801 v Covid and US patent grant for 1802.
It seems to me likely price drivers before the human trials planned in 2022 would be
A license deal on 1801 or 1802
A new deal re FKT3 Aurora
News about what the Secret Patent is all about
Agile funding
Further HNWI interest
