Now that we finally have some news that might finally take RKH forward not a bad time to take the opportunity to average down before the herd arrives! I’m in at average of £1.20 so like many sitting on massive losses. However I’ve estimated that if I treble my holding at today’s price (doesn’t cost a fortune) this brings my average down to just over 40p and with this fresh positive news I feel much happier this might rise significantly even up to 40p or more in which case quite unexpectedly I would be back to break even on my total holding!! Never expected that 2 days ago!
Developing Sea Lion is a no brainer with one caveat which is Argentina. The oil has been discovered already the price of oil is now favourable and we know there is loads more oil to extract in the Falklands basins once the first field is up and running. With regard to Argentina it would make logical sense to farm in a partner from the USA which should discourage the Argies from any sabre rattling.
How does lower cost work? Surely tying to do things as economically as possible without incurring unnecessary extra expense is a given? So what is “lower cost” compared with? Expedite is certainly good ie let’s crack on with it as soon as possible. Makes total sense there is so much proven oil down there way beyond the Sea Lion discovery!
Thank you. If Sea Lion can get to production it would open the floodgates for ouk in the Falklands. I recall figures of up to 30 billion barrels of potential oil in The Falklands oil basins when the excitement was febrile 10 years ago!
Just had a quick look at Navitas financials and a bit confused by numbers. Basically market cap of 1.4 billion but only has revenues of 75 million? How does this work? Where is the 1.4 billion coming from and why aren’t revenues higher? Do they have a lot in the pipeline and do they actually produce and sell oil?
Feliz Navitas will be my favourite Christmas song this year. Have waited a long time long time for some positive news so very happy and more optimistic this morning! If news on Ombré can come along too what a difference that would make. I have suffered a lot of stick and ribaldry from friends about my investment here I’d love to be able to have the chance to prove them all wrong if we finally get to first oil in the Falklands. First oil would open the floodgates because we know there is an awful lot more oil down there on top of Sea Lion.
Looks like the MM are struggling to cope above 6p .. a bit to high for them so they just needed to come down a bit this morning. God help them when it goes above 10p!!
I started logging sales and purchases from Tuesday (just gone) using the information at SAR Fundamentals on this LSE site. Sad and boring I know. In last 4 days volumes shown in total have been 118 million bought and 108 million sold. So there’s a little hole there to start with!
We can’t leave without explaining the difference between poetry and prose
There was a young fella named Rollocks Who worked for Ferrier Pollocks. As he walked on the strand With a girl by the hand The water came up to his ankle.
That is prose. But if the tide had been in it would have been poetry.”
Slightly disappointing end to a dramatic week26 Nov 2021 16:24
Was hoping we might get back to the 6.25 price of a month ago by close but not looking likely. However after the MM induced drama of earlier this week quite happy to finish up around 6p. 6p alone already represents a fantastic return but like others on here I have a sense in my gut that something even bigger might be upon us very soon. Hope so!!
My experience of Pfizer booster (initial double vaccination was AZ no problems at all) was the same really sore arm, felt like I had flu (albeit man flu) for about 3 days, stiff neck and generally felt crap.
So sorry to hear your story Rich .. really hope SAR will be a big success so you can provide in the best possible way for your children with a few extra treats thrown in.
Nice to see it’s up over last 5 days now24 Nov 2021 11:51
Good to see that after a relatively nerve wracking few days this is now up compared with 5 days ago; be good when it’s up compared to 1 month ago again .. needs to get to 6.45. Breathing a little easier now .. never been a great fan of rollercoasters but this is one I’ll just have to get used to. Let’s hope it’s The Big One although I must admit to bottling the one in Blackpool 15 years ago .. I was a bit drunk when I joined the queue but half an hour later when I reached the front of the queue I had sobered up and decided to do a runner .. and rightly got a lot of stick for that!!
