So there is an estimated 250 million barrels of oil at SeaLion and annual free cash flow of $1.5 billion; if they go to production can anyone estimate the likely share value for RKH based on those numbers and industry averages?

It seems like only yesterday that I sat in our kitchen and watched the price of RKH rocket to over £4.
If SeaLion goes ahead does £4 become a real possibility again?
I’ve been sitting on 27000 shares for a long time (from Desire, FOGL and RKH directly) and would love to see that patience rewarded not least because so many people “in the know” have taken the p*** out of me for a long time on this.
Also sitting on a similar amount of SAR and GFM .. would love to see them all justify the risks taken at some point over next 5 years. To date GFM has been the best with loads more to come I think!

Do they still have this marked down as a SELL? What do they pay the guys there to come up with tips like that?! Makes me feel pretty sore. After 35 years in industry and a life time investing in shares as a hobby I decided to try and get a job as an analyst in the City 5 years ago at the age of 58 .. to try and do a job I would really enjoy. I passed all the investment management exams first time with an average mark of around 85% then applied to over 500 investment firms in the city and was not offered a single interview! Looks like IC found some good younger guys instead!! I bought into GFM at 7p so very happy!

Not sure why this drop has occurred unless there are unexpected problems re the licence for the second mine? Otherwise just hang on because this will recover almost as quickly as it has fallen and £2.00 won’t be far away. This is a good strong company with great prospects; the board are probably too busy to respond to panic stricken PIs!

Almost certainly an error but still fun! I recall many years ago when I could telephone through to an automatic portfolio service and I called one morning to hear my shares were up 200,000! I had already mentally bought an Aston a luxury holiday blah blah! I checked again 15 minutes later and it was down 200,000! Back to square one! It was a system glitch on Shire Pharmaceutricals!! Ironically we still hold Shire and sit well over a10 bagger since we bought.

Maybe they need the 200 million for the next milestone payment to SAR .. ha ha !! Well if England can score a last minute winner anything is possible!

Many thanks for clarifying much appreciated. Let’s hope we can see a return to those heady heights. I have staked a comfortable retirement on SAR, Sierra, Rockhopper and Griffin Moning! So far only Griffin have come good. If any of the other 3 could offer up a 10 bagger then happy days!!

I have been in SAR for over 6 years but relatively new to Sierra having bought in a couple of months ago. Prospects seem exciting but could anyone just advise why the share price was $30 back in July 2015 but is now only $3. Was there a massive dilution or some disastrous cause of the fall?

Sorry I seem to have kissed the discussions here stone dead! Not sure how others like to invest but I have always enjoyed having about 5% fun money for high risk stuff! Griffin Mining served me proud as did Dana Petroleum and Genus but the downer has been the Falklands where the upside seemed so high at one time only for them to strike oil just as the oil price tanked! Still hung on to the Rockhopper shares you never know!!

I decided to bite the bullet and hang on to the million shares I have in Sareum but buy into Sierra as well .. just a dabble with £5000 but I sense from wiser sages than me on this board that Sierra has more chance of going boom in the shorter term than Sareum (which looks like a much longer term bet) Here’s hoping!

Is Sierra traded on the London Stock Exchange?

Any thoughts on which company is potentially the best investment .. Sierra or Sareum? I have a decent investment in Sareum (approx 1 million shares) but wonder if Sierra might be a better vehicle for the money?

This is potentially a once in a lifetime opportunity. If it’s just a 5 bagger you want I’m sure there are better options out there. But if it’s serious money you want to make from a smallish investment hold your nerve and stick around for at least 20p
