Some hope in all this gloom. I hope they get on with the restructuring ASAP. Death by a thousand cuts during this waiting period. It was clearly too much to hope they published a thought through time frame when they announced the split. But no, we got vague guidance as usual.

Agree. Using Frasers network for returns would cut costs. so many synergies here. Its not a surprise Frasers wanted either ASOS or BOO - Boo seems more likely the acquisition. IMO. Cheaper and less strong management so resistance will be a lot less.

IMO, the board will offer a board seat to a fraser representative but will reject MA as eco or indeed a seat on the board. This will then set in motion a hostile TO. It's a who blinks first game ongoing. MA holds so much more in chips and probably explains why he is so bullish.

MA will not want Debs to slip through his fingers again. That is his weak spot however and the Kamani clan will of course use it to try and unsettle any hostile TO. All IMO of course as i have no more of a clue than any other PI. ATB

MA has the most to lose in a bankruptcy. So, no chance of it getting to that point.

The way I see it is:

Boo board reject the proposal

Boo propose Umar as ceo

MA makes an offer to buy the company

Boo reject it as 'fundamentally undervaluing the company '

MA launches a hostile take over or shareholders vote to back MA.

One can sense his frustration in the letter. Missing out on Debs again will be intolerable for him. Imo. Not his style to take the hostile route as its more expensive, but he may have no choice or risk losing Debs.

Ashley owns 27% of the business. Even if his aim is to control debs, he isn't about to destroy boo and his 27%, just to get an old grudge settled.

Best way to rub Kamani's nose in it would be to turn boo round and show them how to.make a success of it.
