Reardon, I suspect you're right. My sense is MA was hoping to engineer a collaboration with Shein once he was in charge, possibly off loading a few brands in the process to them. Now, plan B must be a hostile takeover with him and Shein as partners in the entity. Although MA does have the wealth to do it himself, he probably doesn't want to be saddled with Boo long term as long as he gets Debs. Shein can use Boo as their UK distributor. Imo

Not sure about him. He owns a bunch of Boo and Asos but it hasn't done the share price any good. I suspect those who say he simply trades and uses his holding to manipulate, may well be right. Imo

Rule stands. Implications are likely to mean the cost of the duty will be with the buyer now. So all US consumers who receive these packages will also likely receive a bill from US customs. That should very soon make them very wary of buying cheap Chinese tat again.

If item isn't delivered, they get their money back. US customs charging them will sting. No option but to cough up. And this bit will not be refunded if returned! Its much worse for Shein now!

The point also is now the US have started, the EU will feel time is right to do this too. Then the UK will have to follow no matter how cosy the government relations are with Shein. The business model is very exposed. If they do ipo, who on earth would touch them now?

The US Postal Service (USPS) says it has temporarily stopped accepting parcels from mainland China and Hong Kong.

It will be a disaster to have a deal come now at this ridiculous discount. THG needs time to reset after shedding ingenuity. A few quarters on we will have performance metrics to base a clear deal on. Currently it will be sold for a song which is not great for current holders - most of whom will be underwater. IMO

Talking a good talk but SP seems to disagree. MS is clearly a super bright man and sharp as any even at his advanced age. But it really is a time for a rethink. I can't believe any of the other directors can be happy with where they languish.
