Agree Ash. Bad news re delay to relaxation of restrictions was priced in it seems. Steady upwards from here. Glad I topped up and did not wait for my initial 80 target as I think that possibility has passed. Onwards now back to 120 over the next 4 weeks. IMO of course.

Hope no-one fell for the recent doom and gloom and held on. Never ceases to surprise me how easily people write off behemoths like Shell. We have been incredibly lucky to have picked up shares in Shell at the prices we have seen in the last 12 months. Now tuck em away and wait and wait and wait. Happy days. My target is 2200 before I sell a single share. I have full confidence I will see this in 2022.
Electrification from solar, wind etc will come in due course but that is decades away. Until then, plenty of oil to sell and make profit.

JG68, excellent summation and I agree. A delay seems inevitable now that SAGE have bullied the government to move from hospitalisation and deaths to cases of covid as the benchmark. However, the projected rise in cases is utterly idiotic. Over 60's are barely having any cases so comparing the rate of rise to Dec-March is scaremongering. In a month all will be obvious and we will reopen without fear. Agree delay is inevitable now and already priced in. I had set a buy at 80p and last time it dipped I did not get this triggered. It may fall a little but not that much so I may push this up to 85 and buy more. Why not, as the rise inevitably will arrive IMO. ATB all and keep the faith.

Its the same in most stocks in a spot of difficulty. A deramping mob arrive in the run up to a crucial period and then disappear just like that. One moment they are utterly interested, even ìf negative, and thwn nothing....zero interest. Makes me mad this manipulation is allowed to go on.

There are some posters here who are just mean and petty. Ignore them is my best advice. IMO they may well be paid per post and the more you reply, the more fuel ypu provide.

Absolutely it is a joke that the SP has retraced from 120 - shooters have something to do with it of course as they have increased. Why they have done so only they know but they can control the SP. What they cannot control is our behaviour. Stay calm and wait, plus add if you can and say thanks very much. I've done this across my portfolio and have not a single share in the red. Patience is key. Cine will be absolutely fine. Once figures on revenue and attendances start rolling in, shorters will exit. IMO of course. You will only lose money when you sell at a loss. Until then it is a paper loss. 6 months ago my portfolio was 30% under, now it is 40% over. I haven't sold anything but added on dips, including cine at 21 when it seemed all but doomed. ATB

On another note, i am a little perplexed by the doom and gloom about RDS because a single judge decided to join the Greta chorus. Honestly, RDS is an oil major in a world that still needs plenty of it for many decades yet. At OP more than $70, the coffers will be filling nicely. Let the share price catch up in its own time. Unless you desperately need to sell in the next few months or you are a trader, its a non issue. IMO

I dont buy the doom and gloom related to RDS. Vital for the Dutch economy and an oil major. Its not going to be intimidated by a court ruling. Its already dual listed. Will simply up sticks and move to Blighty if needed but cant see the Dutch government sitting back and doing nothing. The judge and the Greta fan club have won a publicity stunt at best. IMO. Im 50/50 in BP and Shell. Not worried in the slightest.

profits will build rather well and hopefully the dividend freeze will be reconsidered. Share price will rise in time once a few solid quarters are in the bag giving a nice cushion for any pull back/furhter waves etc. We need to chill and hold. 2022 will be the year like no other for growth. Who would want to be out of commodities in the next 18 months? I was buying in the 190's and have not sold a single share. I rarely indulge in trading as i'm rubbish at it and always seem to time it wrong. Now I just play the long game....I think its called maturity....or at least that's what I'm telling myself, others call me dull! ATB and all this is of course IMO so please DYOR.

Shorter don't seem to agree with the deramp crew. Declared short % down to 2.25%. All seems on course here for a steady return to at least 180 and beyond. IMO. ATB all genuine holders.

Maybe just maybe the Setanta shackle has been taken off. Fingers crossed i haven't jinxed it!
