Share price will correct automatically once q3 results and updated valuations are presented. Eventually the pension funds will need to get back in big and the greenwashing is in large part to entice them back. Dividend rises will help massively here too. Looking splendid all round and just need to wait for the numbers to be released in the autumn for a proper rerate. ATB

Bonds have another year to mature. With brent over 70 pb, there is plenty of time to accumulate cash to pay back and renegotiate. Not saying there are no headwinds, but very very odd to chuck in the towel at this stage. If this were a boxing match, it would be investigated for match fixing IMO.

How can one have a producing asset and 160 million in the bank and still file for bankruptcy a year before any loans are due for payment? Its madness. I hope the current BoD get blacklisted. IMO not trustworthy for sure.

I agree PFC have been tried in a kangaroo court of insinuations. SFO i assume have given lufkin concessions to spill info and my best guess is some of this onfo is inadmissible and hence a directions hearing to clarify and set out a new path to conclusion. This is my opinion only and based on everything ive read. Best case is the case gets chucked out, worst case is case proceeds with a new timetable. PFC haven't been charged despite SFO being in receipt of the information from Lufkin. Speaks volumes to me about the lack of concrete evidence. Easier therefore to leak stuff to the press and smear by insinuation. All IMO of course.

hasiba, completely agree. AIM is already risky, and if the court alloqs this, AIM will become uninvestable in for PI's. Will also be completely unjust so faith in our justice sysyem will take a beating. Hopefully the judge will see the ramifications. ATB

Agree old news rehashed for political reasons. SFO are doing well if their job is to destroy UK companies. About time the jurnos asked spme questions of SFO rather than play petty politics while the countries economy is already shattered. ATB, this is already yesterday's news.

But will recover. Trouble is with so many punters new to investing, FMO going up and down is adding to herd effect and volatility more than ever. Shorters will be laughing and making hay. Cine if anything is getting stronger by the day with more cinemas opening etc. IMO don't get spooked but do take advantage of the dips if you can. Jumping from one share to another is also tempting but an easy way to lose money. I know I sound like a stuck record but patience is key here. Unless you are very experienced, trying to trade is a risky thing. I learnt this the hard way. Could I have made more money by selling at 120 and reinvesting? Of course I could have. But trying to second guess the market is not for amateur PI's like me. I will hold and hold as my investment timescale is 3-5 years from now. Will I see SP over 200? Who knows, but I am personally pretty confident I will and hence I'm going to sit tight. Am topping up whenever I can on dips but have not sold any yet. Anyway, all the best in all you decide. Just sharing thoughts for any newbies getting nervous. I've been there and have lost money panicking so hope this helps.

Agree 70 -75 was thought to be the sweet spot to keep shale at bay whilst maximising profit for the rest. I suspect brent will loiter at these levels until consumption increases over the next 6 months. Plenty of profit for BP at these levels.

This does not change the eventual direction. BP will be pretty content with whats being paid. The pandemic caused BP and Shell to trim operations and reduce breakeven price. At these levels of brent, its happy days. Q3 results will be fantastic IMO. Just hold and wait. Let traders do their thing and sweat over a few pence movements. ATB

Excellent news. signals the upturn usually. Will be gradual so everyone needs to be patient. Frustration leads to rash choices i find. Just hold and wait or better still, buy more if you can. IMO. DYOR as im not giving advice here.

I wouldn't rule out a merger or acquisition once the sfo case has concluded.

An investigation into any payment made to the BoD's private accounts is probably warranted too. Just clear things up. There is a lot that smells fishy in this company. Not accusing anyone of wrongdoing but seems to me the BoD are not performing their duty towards the shareholders and there must be a reason.

When in trouble, they've adopted the keep digging policy. All irrelevant it seems anyway. They are hardly likely to do anything else here.
