An advanced driver-assistance system (#ADAS) has turned out to be a must-have for car buyers, as eight out of 10 are willing to pay for the feature, said Zhang Kai, the chairman of Beijing-based autonomous driving company Haomo.AI Technology Co., Ltd., at the firm’s seventh AI Day event held on January 5.

Some trends :

?? Intelligent driving will become a standard feature for mid-range passenger vehicles

?? New-generation chips and sensors will enter the market

?? Big AI models will speed up autonomous driving evolution (Algorithms training)

?? Supercomputing centers will be an entry-level requirement for autonomous driving companies

?? ADAS solutions for urban roads will be widely available to automakers

?? Car owners will rely more on ADAS

?? Cost of an autonomous van will fall below RMB 100,000 in China ????

Colin seems to be calling out Smart Eye a lot lately & pulling no punches. He’s not impressed by their PR campaign, calling out every win no matter the size of transaction. If his analysis is correct then SEE should be announcing the big wins we all are expecting:)

Both BlueCruise (and Lincoln’s ActiveGlide) Super Cruise have direct driver monitoring systems (DDMS) requiring drivers to keep their eyes on the road. Infrared cameras are pointed at driver faces and alert the driver to pay attention.

“Systems like BlueCruise are an important advancement that can help make driving easier and less stressful,” Fisher said. “But they don’t make a car self-driving at all. Instead, they create a new way of collaboratively driving with the computers in your car. When automakers do it the right way, it can make driving safer and more convenient. When they do it the wrong way, it can be dangerous.”

New patents ?? from Apple on Autonomous Driving ??????

The last Project Titan patent for this week covers a deep dive into processing graph representation of tactical maps using neural networks. In other words, taking a look at the sophisticated brain center of systems and algorithms for reasoning, decision making and motion planning with respect to controlling the motion of autonomous or partially autonomous vehicles. Apple also covers training a fleet of autonomous vehicles.

Colin is a very well regarded professional in the auto industry. I heard him on a podcast & very knowledgeable plus he is a big advocate of Seeing Machines.

Would be great to get to anywhere close to Arms valuation but we all got to start somewhere & this is a lucrative space to be in right now.

Yes Terry, everything looks to be rising but we need to support this by strong KPI numbers in Feb. If that happens we could be on course for that inflexion point that PMG has been stating. A few more wins plus aviation license should shoot us past that 11p marker that Magna were happy to pay.

Anyone know why it’s up 20% or more this week ? You would think the massive dilution & discount to fund raise would have put investors off !

If only it actually mentioned seeing machines, instead of the OEMs then we would get a lot more exposure. So much for SEE to be proud & boast about but as always we stay under the radar !
