Who’s DMS I wonder ?!

The Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) which has become quite a common feature in the mass-segment automobiles in India are now going to make the heavy drivers of the country safer. Tata Prima has introduced ADAS to its premium Prima range of trucks and this TVC shows how it makes the trucks safer.

Apart from the Collission Mitigation System (CMS), Tata Prima range of trucks also offer features like Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), Driver Monitoring System (DMS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

I’d like to see more wins to be honest ;

Japan - 1 win only so far but said they are talking to 3 or 4 more OEMs & were confident of announcing more wins soon . So where is the news, what timeline do they have ?

Aviation- imminent? Over a year since we partnered with Collins, again long overdue. We need an update.

Fleet - Guardian 3 to launch so where is pipeline, what ramp up do we have with Shell for this year, hoping KPI’s show big increase.

Magna Mirror- DMS/ADAS with mobile eye ! Let’s have some forecasts please of what potential is. How many millions & by what year as this is the whole point in recruiting over 400 staff to be ready right for our growth trajectory.

We need more than just jam tomorrow but some solid KPI numbers backed up with more contract wins.

Drove a Mach-e for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I agree that Ford did a great job with BlueCruise. The high reliability eyelid and gaze direction signals from the DDMS allows BlueCruise to be smarter and faster in it's decision making than other systems. It adds up to a more enjoyable and safer driving experience. The Fovio chip is rock solid reliable and built 100% to solve this problem.

This is important news for autonomous trucking in California.

"California Assembly Member Cecilia Aguiar-Curry introduced in late January a bill that would require a trained human safety operator to be present any time a heavy-duty autonomous vehicle operates on public roads in the state."

The bill has only been proposed and discussed, so it has not yet been enacted into law.

Seen quite a few small 100 share sell trades.

Why would anyone do that ? Seems strange

We last looked at Seeing Machines (SEE) on 24 November 2021 (‘An eye-opening tech opportunity’) and back then the stock was poised to break out. It had tagged 12p several times and the trade idea was that if it actually broke out of the level it could go on a rally.

Looking at Chart 1, we can see that didn’t happen. The stock rallied again and failed to reach 11.5p before breaking through all the moving averages and trending downwards for the rest of the year. This is why strict risk management is so important. It doesn’t matter how good a stock looks – if it doesn’t break out then already the price is telling you something: it’s not ready. By pre-empting the breakout, you’re gambling that the stock will break out and rally. It’s far better to wait for the actual breakthrough of resistance to get on board. Imagine holding a balloon and trying to put a pen through it. To start, you’ll get pushback from the balloon as the rubber stretches and expands to accommodate the pen’s pressure. But eventually, the balloon pops and there is no resistance for the pen. This is exactly like the price going through resistance – we want to be buying at the point of least resistance.

Actually very impressed at how strategic they have become, from signing up with Magna, tying up partnerships with Ambarella, Autobrains, Analog Devices, Omnivision & now this big deal with Mobile eye for fleet.

Got to give credit where credit is due. Just wondering what type of deal for Aviation they can create that adds more shareholder value ?

Still big volume buys so I don’t think he or others have stopped buying yet.

Now what about Lombard, will they be loading up ?
