So the agreement with Mobile Eye for fleet is non exclusive. Does this mean we can or will sign up similar agreements with Qualcomm & Nvidia ?

National Road Safety Action Plan 2023-25 Released

Australia has a 10-year strategy to improve safety on our roads. Through the National Road Safety Strategy 2021-30 it aims to deliver significant reductions in road trauma together with our communities that will put us on a path to Vision Zero.

The National Road Safety Action Plan 2023-25 was agreed by all Infrastructure and Transport Ministers in December 2022. The Action Plan was developed cooperatively by the Australian, state and territory government, in consultation with key road safety stakeholders and the Australian Local Government Association.

It is the first Action Plan under the Strategy, and sets out the key actions all governments will undertake to 2025, in pursuit of the agreed priorities identified in the Strategy.

Colin Barnden pretty much predicted this after our announcement with Ambarella :

The #solution is clearly targeted at Mobileye #EyeQ, is a direct competitor to Qualcomm #Vision SoC, AMD Xilinx #MPSoC #FPGA, and can be scaled to compete with NVIDIA #Xavier and #Orin.

These are the sorts of partnerships which the future leading supplier of driver monitoring and #interiorsensing should be announcing. We await CES partnership reveals involving Smart Eye and Cipia, but the competitive landscape is likely to become clearer over the next couple of days.

My message to #automakers, tier-1 suppliers and semiconductor vendors: Get your DMS/OMS integration strategy right.

I agree with Phil to be honest. If a company wants to buy SEE at a price that represents value to shareholders they will def sit at the table with them. SEE have been quite easy accepting investment from US funds who now nearly own 20% & now 10% with Magna if they pull the trigger which they will. All roads lead to Magna for me once we win all the contracts with the mirror, they will have no choice !!

Thanks AC, Interesting take on the Aviation angle for QC. I’m wondering if SEE are trying a similar approach with a Collins or L3 Harris that they did with Magna. Will they try & buy a percentage of SEE in return for exclusive rights to our technology at a valuation price of 11p per share ?!

PMG has been talking of a deal for sometime now, over a year since we tied an agreement with Collins so we must be close to an announcement.

Looking at M&A opportunities that add value & talent to their organisation. To be honest that could be anyone & as much as I would love to think we are on the their radar, I doubt it.Magna more likely to buy us out than QC.

One thing I did like is that car OEMs look at the business history, their commitment to be around in the future & quality of their tech before making decisions on partnering so hopefully this gives us the edge over the competition.

Phantom AI, a startup building advanced driver assistance systems, raises $36.5M in funding

The startup is developing a comprehensive ADAS platform that incorporates computer vision and sensor fusion and control capabilities. The idea with its platform is to provide assistance to human drivers and improve safety on the road, as opposed to powering fully autonomous vehicles. Phantom AI explains that while many of its rivals are focused on building so-called “robotaxis” that don’t require human drivers, it’s aiming to democratize the use of ADAS technology.

The startup’s ADAS platform is based on three key technologies. These include :

?? PhantomVision, a scalable deep learning-powered computer vision platform that supports vehicle, pedestrian, bicyclist, free-space, traffic sign and traffic light detection.

?? PhantomFusion, meanwhile, is a platform-independent sensor fusion and object tracking system that incorporates cameras, radar, lidar and ultrasonic sensors to enable vehicles to identify what’s around them.

?? PhantomDrive is a complete ADAS control system that powers adaptive cruise control, automatic lane keeping and automatic lane change features within vehicles.

The right time to deliver news was when we had some momentum building at 7.30p, just a snippet of news could have supported the share price. Instead we drift back down to 6p again. Meanwhile US tech stocks are all shooting up higher.

KPI’s are important but without winning new business the market won’t take us seriously it seems. All these collabs & Magna support should be a springboard, so let’s see what Feb brings I guess !

Wonder what is happening, as no news yet but might be coming.

C’mon SEE drop us a big contract win, investors have waited patiently long enough. It’s time to reward them don’t you think ?!
