Day 2 at #inCabinSensing Europe, Berlin.

Yesterday I argued from the stage that human cognitive state needs to become a first-class input in the vehicle architecture — not a warning overlay, not a compliance feature, but a real-time system variable that changes how the vehicle behaves.

Today you could watch it running in production.

Booth 33. Seeing Machines. Live DMS demo.

Gaze direction. Eyelid closure. Head pose. Cognitive load indicators. Running in real time, on hardware already deployed across production vehicles.

The sensor layer exists. The inference layer is mature.

What the industry hasn't built yet is what happens next

- how that signal moves from the monitoring pipeline into the vehicle's core decision systems. Into ADAS arbitration. Into safety logic. Into autonomy boundaries that adapt in real time based on what the human is actually capable of at that moment.

That's the integration gap. That's where the architectural work is.

The video attached shows what the technology already delivers. The gap between what you see there and a full Cognitive SDV implementation is not a hardware problem. It's an architecture decision.

Today I'm at #inCabinSensing Berlin presenting "Why Human Cognitive State Belongs in the Vehicle Architecture."

The argument in one line: Al-Defined Vehicles are building increasingly precise models of everything outside the cabin. The human inside remains an architectural afterthought.

We've spent a decade getting the external model right

- road, traffic, infrastructure, edge cases at 120 km/h.

The internal model doesn't exist yet.

Not as a warning system. Not as a compliance checkbox for EU GSR 2019/2144.

As a real-time system input. A safety-critical variable that changes how the vehicle should behave at every moment of every journey.

When a plastic doll head can fool a Level 2 supervision system — that's not a system problem. That's an architectural one.

Cognitive SDV is the framework I've been building to address it. Today was the first time I argued it from a stage.

There is so much investment flowing into robotics at the moment.

I really hope we can pivot into this space and leverage our expertise with Mitsubishi. All it would take is one RNS announcing that we are developing vision systems for robotics, and the share price could potentially double overnight.

The market is placing enormous value on companies with credible exposure to robotics and AI. Given our proven expertise in computer vision, driver monitoring, and edge AI, a move into robotics would be a logical extension of our technology and could significantly broaden the company’s growth prospects.

I ran this through AI based on new extension with Magna

If the Tier 1 is Magna, I think the announcement makes a hard-ball repayment demand less likely and a cooperative restructuring more likely.

My current probability estimate would be:

Outcome Probability

Full repayment October 2026 20%

Extension/refinancing with Magna 45%

Partial conversion + extension 25%

Full conversion 10%

The most important takeaway is that the $31m contract expansion strengthens the argument that Magna's 2022 investment is beginning to produce the commercial results it was designed to achieve. If Magna is indeed the Tier 1 behind this award, the announcement improves Seeing Machines' negotiating position because Magna would be refinancing a supplier that is increasingly helping it win and grow OEM business rather than simply collecting a debt repayment.

Ok, I know we all occasionally give him a hard time over his contract predictions and delivery timelines, but he did say we’d be getting a Japan contract.

So if some of his other predictions come true, we might be approaching the tipping point he keeps talking about. He’s also mentioned that Aviation could start generating sone revenue, and that the Guardian trials are coming to a close.

Add in a strong KPI update and a resolution to the Magna funding situation, and I genuinely think we could be looking at 10p+ by year-end possibly even higher if all our stars align.

Remember this got walked down to 4p so some smart investors could get in cheaply.

If this did not happen we would be above 5p, so all market manipulation.

More news on finance, magna deal, aviation and Guardian will get this past 6p in no time.

Initial $11m ..SEE always too conservative. If it was Smart Eye they would have pumped this up but hey hey !

It’s see if their strategy pays off in the long run.
