Retour - I agree with all you have said - in addition - Trump is so stupid he does not realise that high import tariffs are paid for by US consumers ! All the costs of their homes - cars - ships - planes - infrastructure and housing is going up because the US cannot immediately replace more expensive imports with home grown items.Cash is king at the mo until we see whether the pundits are right and a global recession sets in from October 2018

Trump`s policy of demanding that US overseas invested cash returns to the USA or overseas holdings will be hit by punitive tax rises has had a big effect world wide - $300 billion so far this year has returned to the US coffers. And US fracking operations are adding more and more wells each week - US oil and gas production is set to exceed SA and Russia next year. China and Russia are gearing up more fiscal stimulus to counteract Trump`s Trade War.

Hargreaves Lansdown has a detailed report that says - Because world banks are withdrawing fiscal stimulus wef October 2018 the markets are expecting an immediate contraction of SP value - especially in emerging markets - and it gets a lot worse in 2019 - so the market view is a similar crash to 2008/09 is coming soon ".

RNS says - "subject to feasibility study" After this disastrous SP crash the BOD may think again and pull out of the deal or "kick the can down the road " A new RNS reconsidering the deal would shoot our SP much higher IMO

RKH seems to be matching PMO on the SP rise today - interesting that someone bought 4 x 300K lots of PMO shares and one lot of 200K shares at early doors - could be some good news next week ?

Eish - HOC was at 338p not long ago - now 172p - almost 50% drop - totally unjustified but the market mafia rules here so when they decide to let it go some spectacular gains will come. Over at PMO someone bought 4 lots of 330K shares at early doors and still the MMs have dropped the SP back about 5% from today`s high - but as they say "If you cannot stand the heat - get out of the kitchen !"

The thing I very much like about HOC and PMO is the tiny spread between buy and sell prices - if you move quickly you can sell out on the slide and buy back on the rise with little penalty. Some SPs have a spread of up to 30% !!!!! So you would need to make 30% on the rise just to break even on the sell - LOL From time to time I have been caught that way so I now always look at the spread and walk away from anything over 3%.

Eish - hello - I am far too old to follow any of those routes - I just look at the daily POG and POO on the BBC and decide from there. I bought PMO shares at 108p yesterday and they are now at about 115p with a recent high of 135p - half year results and report next week and big buying of shares today tells me that the market is expecting good news and a big hike in the PMO SP. I am delighted to see HOC also moving up at the same rate today - HOC and PMO are my two favourite shares. No other holdings at the mo - not sure what Calamity Trump is going to do next to upset world SMs. My wife and I are amazed he is still alive in gun happy USA !

Pokerchips - politicians have had a free ride for 40 years - just rubber stamping decisions made by the unelected political dictators in Brussels - so all the men and women of high quality have left HP for jobs in industry - we now have our own unelected political dictators in the House of Lords - 850 Luddites who seem to take joy in destroying the UK. David Milliband is now back and he would make an excellent leader of the Labour party IMO - if his little runt of a brother does not stab him in the front again !

until we get a good RNS with good news the SP is just a toy for market mafia to play with. 13 September is a long way off - if we do not get an update on progress soon I can see the SP drifting lower

FARN was the fifth most traded company on the LSE list - looking at the buys and sells I cannot believe that - however if there were big background buys that would make a lot more sense

Hopefully we will go back up in the rest of the week or PI trading may well die out

Plenty of work to do around the house - dead heading all the roses - cutting lots of hedges and digging out weeds in the lawn - also walking my 3 legged Jack Russell - RSPCA special - had him 6 years now - we called him Tigga as he bounces a lot - my wife turned down my suggestion of "Isle of Man"

smalltrader - I have been looking at MTFB - very similar to FARN but just as volatile - much smaller MCAP and 3 times as many sells as buys today. I guess you flip a coin and make a bet - I will stick to FARN

When I first started buying shares 50 years ago I had to write to my broker and ask him to buy £XXX of shares in a company at best price - he wrote back including a share certificate and if I wanted to sell the shares I wrote to the broker enclosing the share certificate and he sent back a cheque for the payment --- LOL Much more settled stock market in those days - the market now is akin to an online gambling system with instant ups and downs in the SP. The market is wide open to market manipulation by the market mafia and the very big gamblers who can make or break most company SPs at will. I have been doing not too badly so far this year out guessing the brokers but the wild performance of FARN over the last week has stunned me - i am a simple boy who thinks that if a company share is worth 120p in the morning and none of the fundamentals have changed - then the SP should stay the same until good or bad news pushes the SP up or down. But then I still believe in Santa Claus so perhaps I am not living in the real financial world

scooter - heavy rain forecast for Thursday - so i thought it best to cut today - my Wiltshire village has had very little of the recent rain so I it would be welcome here

Seems like the market mafia are doing big business with FARN shares behind closed doors - NT on trading with HFX at the mo - hopefully when the big orders are filled we may see another rise in SP
