Work is not "starting" on the Royal Mails new parcel hub centre in Warrington -- it is completed! It was intended to be fully operational by late August this year ...now put back to October due to several oversights; however, it is fully expected to be semi-operational some time in the next 3 or 4 weeks. By then the mail-order-returns (MOR) and second class parcels will be processed there, plus some of the scanning belts for the tracked mail should also be operating.

I cannot understand why people here keep making repeated allegations against me of trying to manipulate this share price down...as if I could. Lol. I am just making the most obvious statement (again, I might add) that being: nobody can really lose here. If you are trading the price on the highs and buying in on the lows - great! Fair play to you. If you are long (4 - 5 years in my estimation) and the stock takes another dip, again - great! We all pick up lots of extra shares when the divi is paid out...and maybe even buy a few more to go with what we have already accumulated. The only persons losing out here are people we need the cash in the very near future and therefore need to see that sudden big increase in the s.p. And that is not going to happen...not for a little while at any least. It is, as the younger generation are fond of saying I believe: a -- "no-brainer"!! And no one is going to convince me at this present moment in time that in five years from now this s.p will still be languishing where it is right now. Not a cat's chance in Hell!!

In several years to come the low share prices seen over the last several months will be a long gone memory...anyone now with even just 4000 or 5000 shares invested here cannot possibly lose: as long as their dividend is paid back in as shares of course then their average s.p will keep on falling. The lower the s.p at dividend time -- the bigger their increase in their holding; and if the s.p climbs steadily back up -- great!! More profit. As long as you are in for the long-haul on this particular stock I just don't see any problems. All that is required is time...and a little patience of course. P.s Personally I could'nt give a tinkers cuss if the s.p was as low as say £1.85 on the ex-divi date ...extra free shares for me. Lovely!!

Quite simply put, neon: you need to purchase any Royal Mail shares by the 24th of July at the very latest...if you purchase on or after the 25th you will not receive the 17 pence dividend. The 25th is the "ex-dividend" date. The "record date" will be the 26th of July; you do have to be recorded buying your shares at least two days before the "record date"...hence the 24th of July. Cheers!

I posted on here quite a few weeks ago suggesting that it would be better if we all (investors and shorting brigade alike) could agree on a good starting place for a true valuation for this company...I believe I suggested a s.p somewhere in the mid fifties; it certainly does not warrant much of a value above that it would seem...certainly the directors don't appear to be interested -- even when the price is in the low 60's!

Looks like a trip back down into the 50's is on the cards again...bit by bit the wheels are coming off IQE's cart.

I understand the sentiment of the agreement, JBTHISTLE...but, as always of course, when put into practice it never quite works out as planned. What you yourself really do need to consider is just one part of one line which comes from that very same statement: "the Royal Mail is no ordinary company". In that one part of one single sentence you have, in a nutshell, what represents everything the Royal Mail pertains to be: the most forward thinking, fair minded, employee friendly, all employee accommodating, back slapping, self congratulatory, most politically correct company in the whole length and breadth of merry old, green England. It is not within cold, hard facts and figures, the grandiose schemes of massive investment, where Royal Mail might come a cropper...but within the many perceptions and rigidly held dogmas of a militant workforce backed up by the quietest, yet most powerful (in terms of being able to cripple a country's commerce that is) union in the UK. This will NOT be plain sailing...and anyone who thinks differently is just plain stupid.

IsleworthSpy, I too have heard of the "four on -- four off" rumours...along with the possibility of introducing continental style shifts. At the end of the day though it all adds up to the same thing: Two years this October posties will be on the same basic wage per week as they are today -- but working 35 hours a week. Obviously, especially as Rico Back has already stated (Five Year Plan) that he wishes to significantly cut back on Angard staffing, there will be an imperative need to cover the massive shortfall in hours. If you take the figure of say 140000 x 2hrs --(and we are only calculating the next two years...not what has gone previously) that equates to 280000 hrs a week! If we take that 280000 hrs x 52 -- that equates to a staggering 14560000!!!! And yes...you did read that right: fourteen million, five hundred and sixty thousand working hours a year -- for the same basic pay!!!!! Truly mind-boggling...and some people still wonder why the share price plummeted so dramatically? Not so hard now to see how some analysts saw this all playing out is it?

The rumours concerning a four day week are correct. This will start in Warrington, so I have been informed, in the very near future...I have discussed this in earlier posts but it appears, as per usual, not many of you pay much heed to the content of what I actually publish. It will not be very well received at first....it will increase each shift to 9.25 hours thus making it tiring to work overtime (during the shift itself) due to the duration involved; this all changes in two years from October of course when posties will be working a 35 hour week per the "Four Pillars Campaign" agreements. There will be , as always I should imagine, overtime available at weekends...not sure how much overtime will be available for people when on their extra day off though; I can see a few disputes emerging here as that overtime will more than likely be for the people working on that particular day. And yes, IsleworthSpy, I believe they are looking at bringing this in universally throughout the Royal Mail workforce. How else, in processing anyway, can they cover the shortfall in daily working hours? This will also help reduce the amount of agency staffing required to cover the increasing reduction in hours.

I too have every confidence that they will get it right....eventually that is. However, the Royal Mail does have an uncanny ability when it comes to shooting themselves in the foot or making mountains out of molehills. Perfect ongoing example: the much touted new building (built by Mountpark logistics) that is going to replace the present North West Distribution Centre (an old, crumbling , leaky building at Mill lane in Warrington) has been put on hold due to a growing list of snags and problems. Such as: gate entrance not big enough to allow for two lorries to pass at once, car park not adequate (lorry drivers will have to be ferried back and forth by bus) to allow all members of staff on the same shift to park up, no fuel island for lorries...and I am quite confident the list will just keep on growing. Typical Royal Mail!! Lol. Rumour has it that this has put back the opening of the new building to late October thus requiring Royal Mail to extend their lease at Mill Lane to next January...and late October is right before when the Christmas pressure is gearing up to start. OPPSSS!!! Someone is going to get a good old fashioned ass kicking for this one methinks. P.s I wonder if the shorts have gotten a sniff of all this?

I personally do not think that this was an attempt at a scam...surely nobody would go to all this trouble to pull off a scam? However, I do think that some persons, at some point, are going to have to answer some particularly awkward questions at a fast approaching time in the very near future. Regarding that looming future: not much future for any director, regarding trust anyways, in regard to any future reemployment. One other thought: Block Energy (oil and gas) are operating out of Georgia, they too need the necessary permits...but they are not, it would seem, experiencing the same problems. Why? Because this venture is hand in hand with the Georgian government. It is my contention, and I have stated this previously, that Georgian Mining Corp, in their hasty arrogance, tried to ride roughshod over the local populace and administration...in other words: did not adopt due courtesy and protocol. It is quite obvious that, somehow, somewhere, someone in a position of authority has been completely p*ssed off with the brash approach adopted by this company; and, judging by the way they have liaised with their investors... I am not surprised in the slightest.

My, my my. The share price, after a good start, takes a little dip...and, as if like magic -- pooffff!! All the chief rampers disappear. Reminds me somewhat of the magic roundabout. Fear not all you faint-hearted there is only one way this s.p is going over the next several years...and it won't be southwards.

I have only been dappling in the stock markets for a couple of years...but don't recall seeing a s.p before that represents just a fraction of a pence; well, that's the way this particular share price seems to be heading. The point is: if the s.p ends up being a mere fraction of a penny how on earth can they launch a further fundraising? I would say the end is only days away... unless of course a bl**dy miracle happens.

Can anybody inform me just how low the s.p goes before the company is actually regarded completely non-viable? Or have we indeed now passed that point. I once read a comment from an investor, regarding a different stock, that he had been told years back that once the s.p drops to below 2p a share it was basically regarded as being doomed. Personally I am just waiting for the Georgian Mining Corp website to disappear... cannot be far off I should think.

Just took a quick peek at Barchart's "Barchart opinion". Perhaps I have it all wrong but, to me anyways, it would appear that it is now turning more to a "sell"...certainly a stronger "sell" at present than last week.

Quite right, Topprize, I am invested in GEO: a nugatory 10000 shares...and at only a little more than the present price. Why? Very simple: a total punt! As for your reference to Barnet Pedro? No idea what that is all about never mind being invested in it. I am also (also in a very minor way) invested in Block Energy. Again...why? Answer: another punt...but on a far lesser scale than the ailing, almost totally defunct, Georgian Mining Corp. The point of my posts (concerning Block Energy) are not to draw conclusions -- but to make the point that investing here is not like investing in a company that operates in the UK. You are dealing with two cultures, and therefore two very distinct political systems, that are not just chalk and cheese -- but solar systems apart! I am not squeaking in the least...but I am willing to bet a few on here will if that share price starts to slip back down to 8p. Lets us all hope not. Have a good day. Cheers!

What sort of idiots are you all? Do you honestly think any country facing possible war or great civil unrest gives a tinkers cuss about a permit? Best think again methinks.

I would strongly recommend to any persons investing here that they should carefully read through todays RNS by Georgian Mining Corp...it does not make happy reading. The same incumbent government dealing with them is the very same one dealing with you. If this s.p dips below 9p...then all the way back to 6p a share.

I state again: what if it is just a plain old case of no forthcoming permit. This is Georgia we are talking about not your average western democracy...remember that when investing in these "emerging" eastern European markets. They don't even conform, in the main, to normal AIM regulations for Gods sake. P.s Georgian Mining Corp was doing relatively okay. Suddenly -- a change of government. Result -- a delayed mining permit. And that was 10 months ago!!
