Avocet123 - VOD has dropped a fair bit today tbf to you. With such extreme turbulence few stocks were going to remain +ve today. However, VOD has held up pretty well under that extreme pressure and I anticipate that will continue to be the case.

Tbh NOFEAR - CPI could actually get completely crushed (along with a swathe of other vulnerable businesses) under this Trump Dump IMO - Simply because he's out playing golf and him and his cabinet are just simply so ignorant, belligerent and utterly clueless - not to mention they're happy to double down - that it might take an angry mob turfing him out from the WH before there's a reversal of policy here.

Nope- as I said before, I've a ~67p Average here. No gains + no losses either atm.

I've crunched my numbers, and I'm sharing (politely and very genuinely) what it is that I think will happen here. I don't think EU+UK central banks are coming to the rescue today (if they were they would have already come out and held a press Conf), I reckon they want to see how the upcoming trading session in USA pans out. FWIW I think that's going to prove a grave mis-judgement on their parts, they're hoping EU+UK markets can limp till close and then announce something Monday if required.

However, prior to Mon open it's already going to be one of the biggest market falls, possibly even surpassing some of those big drops in 2007-2009. It's going to get very ugly and I just do not think many are awake to that being a potential eventuality here.

The sell off will rapidly pick up pace later IMO - Trump showing no signs of backing down. It's full tilt double down Donald (and his cabinet MAGA Morons).

Merlwood - you say Interest rates may go down, (for USA I assume?) - However, so long as Powell remains Fed Chair this will not be the case. Cutting USA rates with such hefty tariffs in place will lead to Hyperinflation. Rates have to remain high for USD$ so long as the tariffs are imposed.

Scotty277 - Glad you asked... A BoE emergency rate cut (1%), either later today or Monday morning -before markets open IMO. Same goes for ECB (0.75%). Neither can sit on their hands.

Scotty277 - It was clear to me there would be a global sell-off and yes I moved way back in Nov 2024 to prep for this very eventuality. Sure, I didn't know what would be the trigger but it was clear as day to me it was coming.
