It would be good to get an update. However, EWT was 150 days. Heid says she thinks that ends on 14th. My calculation is that it is the 24th. They then may need some time to analyse and certify prior to RNS. Either way we should know by Xmas. In the meantime the childish impatience displayed by some posters here is pretty futile. SP locked in by SOLO, lack of news and traders. The first 2 of which will soon be gone.

If I was trying to sell 162m shares I would tend to sell in round numbers not 1,825,024 so I would be surprised if it was SOLO. Also looking at the trades there are numerous trades being wrongly recorded. Interestingly on L2 there were sells queued at 1.95. These are now gone suggesting that the earlier 250,000 buy 1.95 buy was a sell. The SP is little changed but within the spread the trend is higher than indicated by the move on the sp.

Excellent post Smiffy, they got some cash in and with the farm out more should have swiftly followed. But the amount that RI's took up of the placing shows that few apart from the rampers here have any confidence that the BOD will cream anything other than their own trousers! If this does come good it will be by accident rather than the actions of the BOD. The one thing that gives me hope is that the oil majors are making lots of profits and are suddenly flush with cash in a world there the oil price has risen. Hopefully one will buy us out in the meantime my shares are in the bottom draw.

What is interesting is that there have been 18 trading days since the 12th. This is why my guesstimate is that they will have sold the bulk but may still hold up to 60m (if I had to guess though I think they have circa 30-40m). Wish SOLO would issue an RNS to clarify.

Baits you need to read the actual schedule which accompanied each RNS which says the date when the threshold was crossed.

Baits "your fact my fact" is carp! The RNS provides the facts. There is a lot of difference between your 5 trading days and the 9 per the RNS when it comes to working out how fast shares can be offloaded. School boy errors of that nature can cost a lot of money. Baits I hate it when people get their facts wrong. They got rid of 58m between 2/10 and 12/10 per the RNS's that were subsequently issued. That is actually 9 trading days and volume was higher then than now. Whilst on one day I think they managed to sell circa 11.5m I think they have typically been selling 3-6m per day.I think they sold some this morning (looking at the trades). I believe that they are nearly done such that a stellar RNS would rapidly clear any residue.

kaiser those dates are the 2nd and 12th respectively ( ie the actual dates that they crossed the thresholds). Thus 60m in 10 days - but at a time of high volume. Their constant drip of sales has strangled the Sp thereafter. The sooner they go the better. I predicted mid November (unless we got a stellar RNS ) some weeks ago but it is impossible to do anything other than make an educated guess. I had hoped that Solo would make an announcement voluntarily to their shareholders since they are not forced to here but thus far zilch.

The RNS was not the 12th of October. The 12th was the date that the 3% was breached. Clearly the RNS is after that date.

Chicken you know very little as evidenced by your posts! They hit the 3% figure on the 12th of October per the RNS!

looking at the money circa £1.7m of Angus traded versus £425,000 of UKOG. Given that UKOG is a much larger company this shows where people are putting their money for now. UKOG are static due to SOLO whilst ANGUS is moving. I hold both but I think that investors are shortsighted.ANGUS has doubled recently whilst UKOG has flat lined on the same RNS flow due to SOLO selling. SOLO are nearly done. A decent RNS with SOLO done would lead to ANGUS catch up (so a swift double) and then further moves.I think that SOLO has presented investors with a rare opportunity here by holding back the SP.

Rodders wishful thinking is fine but not supported by facts. On 12/10 they had 162m shares. It had taken them 10 days previously to sell 60m when volume was high. It doesn't take much to work out how many they have now (approximately). Also it explains the 1.92 sticking point. Also Angus also had no news but more than doubled over the same period with no seller (until today's placing). Where we both agree is that a major RNS would see a re-rate ,hopefully upwards.

I have L2 visibility but it is still virtually impossible to work out whether it is SOLO selling albeit that typically they are 1m trades. Today though some 100,000 trades have looked typical. I believe that SOLO are happy to sell at circa 1.92 but need the volume to do it. The fact that the selling price gets stuck in that region speaks volumes. We simply do not have the volume to clear them at this stage any quicker than 3-5m per day. But from my perspective every 1m they sell is 1m less that they would sell in to an RNS. I believe that they still have up to 60m shares. How many they will sell who knows. However, max volume this year was over 800m shares traded so we are now at the stage where a stellar RNS would quickly clear SOLO.

Heid, I think that Solo are still active albeit that activity is tempered by the low volume. I think that it explains the relatively static sp. I believe that by mid Nov they should be gone so 14th November would be ideal timing. It is very rare that you can buy a share knowing that the SP is being held down by a forced seller whilst all the time being able to have visual sightings of tankers etc. Investors as opposed to traders should use this time for proper research.

From my perspective this has been a good week. We have seen tankers , pump and flare stack all in action so clearly UKOG is getting on with it. Will K3&4 be commercial? We will have to wait for the RNS. But the good thing is that Portland has already derisked the Sp. My calculations suggest that SOLO will have sold 100 - 120m since the last RNS. They had 162m so whether they are completely done depends on how many they will keep. Either way we are another week closer to being rid. But the best news this week were the stellar profits from oil companies. When money is being made everyone wants a slice of the cake and our UKOG cake could prove irresistible. I said that the Sp would not rise until possibly mid November ( in the absence of a stellar RNS) due to SOLO so unlike others here I am not unhappy with the Sp.

DHC It has been proved beyond reasonable doubt that SOLO are still active and I refer to my posts last night. I simply do not understand why you are in denial on this subject. It is THE reason why we are not following ANGUS up.

I believe that those 11m blue trades are all sells from earlier given that it can take time to report trades and the actual reported prices. In which case it explains today's price and is excellent news. The sooner SOLO foxtrot Oscars the better.

DHC please stop talking BS. SOLO had 242m on 2/10 and 162m on 12/10. If they continued to clear 60m every 10 days they would still hold 42m in early November. BUT total volumes traded were far higher between 2/10 and 12/10 than they are now. It is pretty clear that they are likely to still be holding circa 80m. How many more will they sell? Who knows. I find it nauseating that certain posters are unwilling/unable to understand Solo’s selling and end up misleading others. You then get stupid questions like why is Angus rising when UKOG is falling? Answer Angus does not have SOLO dumping shares every day!

DHC when SOLO sold the 60m volumes were far higher than now. Given their holdings and subsequent lower volumes it is inconceivable that they would have been able to sell more than around another 60-80m. It follows that they still hold plenty. How many will they sell? Who knows. Thus my guess is that they may be selling until mid November. It would be nice to think they are finished earlier though. I have 11m and like many here am hoping that UKOG will make this a very happy Xmas.

We worked out that Solo would take possibly until mid November to sell out based on volumes traded and time to sell 60m stock previously. There is no news . Angus is going up and UKOG down because a major seller is not dumping Angus daily. This has created a window to buy UKOG stock. I hold both companies and am delighted to have had this opportunity to load up.
