Thanks Keefy. Forgot to mention Petro Matad in the list. All my Aim shares are high risk and I am either in the money or just out with the exception being here - B/E 1.8. But, if co hits oil and we get a decent deal 88e could still multi bag. Fingers crossed.

Keefy, 12m shares with a B/E well under 2p is just over 1% of my portfolio. I hold a small number of high risk shares 88e,GFM, SXX, UKOG, AMC. Each holding is typically.less than 1% of my portfolio and very actively traded and heavily researched.. Each can multi bag. The real money is invested very traditionally. Last year I was very heavy in UK commercial property. I downshifted to cash late November. I still hold lots of cash but have been dripping in to shares mainly China and emerging markets on hopes of a US/China trade deal. Also averaged down here earlier this year with a purchase at 1.07 on hope of spike on spud. I only invest on Aim with money I can afford to lose.

Lee, it wasn't DW who hooked me. I looked at the potential and independently decided to invest. The surprise has been DW's inability,to date, to convert potential into shareholder value. But fingers crossed.

Brom and Chartman, I hold 12m of these and have read post after post and read every RNS. DW has thus far proved himself to be a specialist in failure - FACT! NO deal and no oil just delays excuses and dilution. The sp reflects the position and I have every right to be fed up. But hey ho this is a new drill and a new day. Like all LTH investors here we have heard it all before but are just hoping that this time he strikes oil. The more the better but in the meantime most of the posts here are meaningless. It is all about the oil and the deal. Fingers crossed.

Degsy you were called a four letter word yesterday. You keep saying the same thing and seem hell bent on proving that poster to be accurate. I asked you about layers of strata and you failed to reply. The question preassumed that you went to school! Matad have been wildcatting which is always high reward low probability. An appraisal well comes in a different category. Very high risk here and we all know it. High risk can mean no reward and it can mean high reward. We all get that !

I hold lots of these but as always need other holdings too. Petro Matad has taken my eye. Market cap 26m . Fully funded for 4 drills this year. Soon to spud a well less than 1 mile from a well producing 17000 BOPD. They own 100%. I am told the cos is 75%. Having read calculations here based on 2000 BOPD in terms of possible resultant mcap and resultant Sp it looks attractive. Just a heads up. DYOR .

Rosewall at the time of the troubles it was not possible to get eye witnesses. Thus the military resorted to the shoot to kill policy. To get convictions evidence had to be watertight. Sadly this resulted in some evidence being tampered with. It wasn’t right but it doesn’t mean that all those convicted in those circumstances were innocent. The problem is that had they not been convicted they would have continuedto kill. Personally I believe in a 3 strikes and you are out system but no system is perfect. How many people have been killed by those freed to murder again ? People who would be alive today! Who is more innocent the wrongly executed innocent person or the murdered victim of a freed murderer?

Lee you need to look at the mcap not the sp. Our mcap is £100m theirs is £22m. Also be very careful about posters ramping on about previous highs here. At the end of 2017 we had circa half the number of shares in issue that we have now. Thus 8p then would be 4p now.

Cheryl your problem is that you said not to buy in the first place and thus would have missed 100% of the rise so no need to be smug. Of course there is profit taking. That is 100% healthy. What is unhealthy is being a troll that hangs around with no shares. The sp is worth circa 2p since the RNS and I expect 3-4p this year based on numbers but sentiment could drive it higher or lower. I have been 100% consistent.

Two nauseating trolls who probably don’t have enough money to afford the toilet roll that their constant output of bs requires! Neither have shares here they just post because they love to irritate. I have long held the view that the Sp should be a minimum of 2p and that short term price movements aside sub 2p represents a small risk relative to the upside. I think 2000 BOPD supports a mcap of circa 200m so 3-4p is reasonable based on expected output per the RNS. Add in sentiment and it has the scope to go higher but in the absence of proper cashflow models and profit forecasts a double digit Sp is unrealistic at this time. But no need to ramp 3-4p means you double your money this year...sexy enough!

I am invested both here and UKOG albeit that my holding in UKOG is higher. My understanding is that Angus have a production license. It follows therefore that permission for an EWT should be a formality albeit a process that must be undertaken. I invested for Brockham and cross my fingers that the oil will flow. I am shocked at the management incompetence but this is now reflected in the price and hopefully a thing of the past.

Prior to the RNS it was possible to make a case for sub 1p hence the weakness in the sp and the shorters albeit Portland in full production was worth 2p. Post RNS the sp should be 2p based on 2000 BOPD with 3-4 by the end of the year (possibly more if driven by sentiment).This BBC news item hammering home the 2000 BOPD is good news.

Goodbye, dilution is where your percentage ownership of the company shrinks. Thus if there are 100 shares and you hold 10 you have 10%. If they issued another 100 you have 5% and so on. The problem is that for a relatively trivial sum ( Say £1m) you can end up with twice as many shares. If the company then goes on to be worth 100m your share value is half why it would have been. In contrast if they had raised the £1m on finance your gains would be far greater. Dilution is awful for shareholders ( generally) and normally only done where money can’t be raised elsewhere on competitive terms.

It does no one any good if you think about it to have people so poor that they are desperate and forced in to a life of crime. I would prefer to pay a little more in tax so that someone has sufficient and their dignity than have people break into my house. It is just a question of balance. In a civilised society the rich are well looked are by the system and its laws. They benefit most from those laws. It follows that they should pay the most to maintain the status quo but I have always believed that you work firstly for yourself and your loved ones and your fellow man thereafter. Thus you should receive the bulk of your money from your labours. Thus I believe the top rate of tax should never exceed 49%. That Is my personal balance but everyone will have their own view of what is fair.

Cheryl, fair point but it depends what you are doing. Some trade, some invest and some do both. Warren Buffet is a classic investor who buys and holds through thick and thin. He is no fool but has done meticulous research and is happy to ride out the ups and downs. The issue is that many PI’s do little research and just buy duds and end up so underwater they become long term holders by default. Some shares I trade like Lloyds and to some extent this share. However, I have purchased this mainly for the long term because I believe in the project. I hold circa 16m at an average of circa 1.5p. My objective is to trade into spikes and eventually hold circa 5m free shares very long term. I suspect that many here have a similar strategy.

Every 0.1p means this company is worth £5.5m more every 1p means an extra £55m.If you talk about a £15 share going to £30-£40 in a matter of months people think wow. Sadly too many people don't understand that 1.25 p to 3-4p is identical in terms of the percentage gain on your investment. This is why when people talk about this sp rising to £1 in the near future they look a bit silly.The shares in issue here (dilution) means that a movement of even 1p makes a considerable difference when your market cap is £65m to start with. For get the 1.25p sp the £65m market cap needs to be justified. Thus until the latest RNS the sp was vulnerable. I hope this helps.

I find all this talk of £1 both premature and unnecessary. To get to £1 our sp would have to multiply by a factor of 80 which means that our market cap would need to be £5.2bn. I love to dream especially since I have millions of shares but this is currently fantasy. If all goes to plan then perhaps in 5 years? But for now a more realistic 3-4p this year, which is a not too shabby 300% rise, is attractive enough in a world of 0.75% base rates. People must stop looking at the sp and look at the market cap since the sp in isolation is misleading.

Hi Cheryl , I like your conservative take on this. I think that the RNS is a game changer. Pre RNS you could value on a basis whereby you could easily say that 0.5p was justified. The chart is historic and thus is less of a guide. Feed in 2000 BOPD and the situation changes. 2p feels about right for now with 3-4p possible in the coming months based on licenses and positive sentiment.. I expect this to steadily recover in the coming weeks.

Seadoc apply a more likely P/E and you get the realistic 3-4p short term Sp target that I mentioned earlier. Using forward P/E ratios of 20 plus based on successful future drills and increased resultant production you can get this to double digits but we don’t have the numbers yet , just the potential. I hold several million with a B/E circa 1.5p. I remain very comfortable with this investment since the numbers from Portland in isolation substantially reduced the risk.
