The appeal will take years as analysts are predicting.
With no immediate liquidity, the only news that is going to dominate is box office success of Spider-Man and the mass return of millions being more accustom to movie going.

Lockdown news will still be open but I suspect like the US the message will be cases up, hospitalisations remain flat and deaths continue to drop. A milder variant will be used to push the vaccine and booster drive but the economy cannot be propped up any more.

From an cinema industry perspective, western territories will be wanting to see a recovery akin to China which achieved a full recovery in less than 12 months.

The FUD pushers are desperate but the masses will be having buy orders Inc institutions and it wouldn’t surprise me if we see a TR1, tomorrow with a big buy.

Let me ask this, why didn’t we see any TR1 sell orders on Friday? Normally they would appear 48 hours after any sell off. I didn’t see any. Why? Because the institutions didn’t dump their stock, they likely bought. I fully expect to see TR1s backing this with increased holdings.

My understanding was in the event an appeal wasn’t submitted, parties had 21 days to settle.

Granted an appeal is in progress, it is also my understanding that it will take in excess of a year.

In fact, a quote from an analyst in Deadline suggested the appeal would take years:

But the thing is that Cineworld is going to appeal and that could go on for a COUPLE OF YEARS before the whole process is exhausted. We know Cineworld is going to kick the can down the road because they don’t have the financial flexibility to pay this,” said Eric Handler of MKM Partners. Cineworld “won’t sell asset at depressed prices until someone forces them to pay.”

Great news. I knew it would break $0.25bn and it’s done it.

This is just the opening weekend so I expect this movie to cross $1bn within a few weeks.

Sony have already issued a statement which the rest of studios and industry experts have woken to:

“Debuting movies simultaneously in theaters and at home is devastating to our collective businesses,” Sony Motion Picture Group President Josh Greenstein told the attendees at Caesar’s Palace. “Our movies will be seen exclusive first in our movie theaters,” said Greenstein. “Movie theaters and the theatrical movie experience will triumph.”

Schools are out. It’s no secret that delta spread via schools. I believe the government will assess this and advise in light of school holidays, there is no need for further restrictions.

Time will tell but one thing we do know, the health system is not crippled which ultimately triggered the earlier lockdowns.

Manageable health service = no lockdown

Javid our health minister on Sky, speaking to Trevor Philips didn’t confirm further restrictions, nor did he dismiss them.

He has advised that the situation will be reviewed, must be backed by data, i.e. strain on health service and significant hospitalisations. He also advised any decision for further lockdowns will be taken to parliament. They won’t be ushered in.

Given, hospitalisations remain at 900-1000/day and deaths are dipping, I don’t believe we will see a lockdown.

Javid mentioned over 90% of those in hospital haven’t had a vaccine, that equates to about 5 million people and when you consider he past 24 hours day 800k received a vaccine, I believe they will get the stranglers before the end of January which is their timeline.

My prediction is come Tuesday, Biden will announce the US uses the means available to mitigate covid via vaccines and masks but ultimately tells the American people they have to live with it. Anti viral drugs from the likes of Pfizer and ongoing vaccine boosters will soon become a regular part of the routine health process.

Higher interest rates? Do you think the loan works on a “tracker” product? No chance. The maturity is the loans are 2024 at the earliest. 2 years from next year at which point we will see a full box office recovery.

I just visited my local cineworld to see Spider-Man and it was heaving. The manager advised me he was seeing a big return of cinema goers and concessions are doing very well. Anecdotal, I know but we will see come, Monday what the box office returns for Spider-Man are.

Interest rates actually cheered the market by attempting to curb inflation.

As for lockdowns, the U.K. despite only holding some 12% of cineworld cinemas, isn’t seeing a reduction in footfall. With other restrictions on travel, I suspect it will drive more traffic to leisure parks where many will want to enjoy a movie out from the cold and accessible to dining facilities close by.

Keep in mind, Cineworld’s operate 75% of their estate in the US and their economy is recovering at a much faster rate.

I’m afraid you’ve called this one wrong as well like you did over on the Boohoo BB talking it down further when 100p and for the taking.

Look at the drop on Wednesday as a gift.

Sit tight and give this 6 months, I fully expect to see the share price at 120p+ if Covid plays out, the appeal progresses and we continue to see the box office recovery.

There are some great shares to be had at very low entries, Boohoo was 100p today.

This is common on many US listed shares.

Bronstein, Gewirtz & Grossman are a small compensation chasing outfit - google them and you will them across dozens of shares attempting to file a class suit against companies for misleading investors.

Cineworld has a small listeing using ticker, CNNWF on the OTC Markets Group - I suspect there may be a few hundred investors there as opposed to using LSE where the share is primarily listed.

I step away for a little while and I return to see Mickey, Godders their poodle, Kurgan3 spreading FUD across this board.

Some serious news has been announced:

- Navitas will be operator at 65% and fund RKH 2/3rd of the cost to get going
- RKH patiently await the OM outcome where the missing 1/3 of the costs for the Sea Lion project materialise

I've only got a peasant's holding of 100,000 shares @ 5p but I'll be keeping an eye, next week to double my share holdings.

Monday, my predicition.

Well done those with enough sense to see through the FUD and either take a position or average down.

I'm inclined to say $250m - it will make its money in the first opening weekend.

It will also do a world of good re-introducing the massess to the routine of cinema going and importantly respecting the theatrical window.

Anyone wnat to hazard a guess at the first weekend taking for Spiderman?

Remember, this is the first of the Phase 4 - Multiverse movies which will entice millions into cinemas and movie theaters.

Mooky and the entire Cineworld team are a little busy managing the millions pouring through their doors at the moment.

The RNS was issued on Wednesday, it's been 3 days - I feel we can give them a little time to share next steps.

They also need to be sensitive with what is released that won't jeopardise the appeal process.

For now, it's a case of allowing the box office sales and concessions doing the talking and further legitimising the business model.

Central London? How very anecdotal

Keep in mind that Cineworld has 75% of its estate in the USA.

Restrictions there? No chance.

As I mentioned, school children, teenagers and young adults have been brushing shoulder to shoulder for months now with no restrictions - Spiderman is out and they will represent the peak demographic.

Sony have already advised they had $10m in their first day in the UK and Wales.

Expect more upside to come as today, Friday it premiers in the US ahead of the big weekend.
