Many are long term lurkers who like to nip in from time to time.

I am really pleased I was able to get back into Cineworld, today and whilst I didn’t get the bottom, I’m content with a 32p average and echo your points.

Liquidity in the immediate is fine.

Box office recovery is on a set path and the balance of December has schools out and Marvel and Matrix mania will be enticing millions to the big screen.

Many will feel deflated at the share price but ask yourself this, if you had the choice back in October 2020 when the situation was far dire, would you not have taken that two hands full?

Many are wishful for the low twenties or teens, I don’t see it precisely because of the liquidity position being stable for now.

The appeal will take a while to which point I remain optimistic that come March 2022, we will have some fantastic box office performance and a significant rerate from brokers and shorts reduced.

My advice to lurkers is invest, what you can afford to lose and switch off and enjoy Christmas and the new year.

Couple this with a 90% recovery in box office in October, park demographic of 12-24 year olds who are a low risk group and we will see a statement from Cineworld that Q4 was just as lucrative.

I suspect the appeal will take 3-6 months and within this time we will see Spring and a full box office recovery to pre covid levels.

October this year saw 90%. There are enough movies to entice audiences and we don’t need to rehash the value of cinema, it’s a welcome respite from home for children, teenagers and young adults.

I’ve loaded up and I have some dry powder ready for tomorrow but suspect we will see 35p with Spider-Man mania and then each month more as Covid Omicron subdues.

I fully expect institutions took advantage and loaded up.

I believe we will have an RNS Friday 17/12/21 with some larger positions and shorts closing their positions.

These posts feigning outrage are too disingenuous imo. They are merely thread setups for various deramping accounts with equally low post counts to come on and say they lost money, sold at a loss or are nervous.

The bottom line is this judgement is being appealed and there are no immediate liquidity concerns.

The good news is this uncertainty is over, the decision was awarded in favour of Cineplex and the market will have time to assess box office performance (90% recovery to pre covid to date) and observe the recovery across leisure and hospitality too.

Forgive me for being a cynic but it’s all too predictable. Many have seen these shenanigans before and I hope many made money buying at these low entries and selling at the top.

Tell her you had seen this all before. October 2020 when the sp hit it hit 17p lows and there were two types of investors:

- those brave enough to buy the huge dip
- those who sat on the sidelines wishing they had when it did a 4x in a few months after that low

It won't be Plan C as the health service isn't under strain and the vaccination and booster initiative will be sufficent to protect the public at large.
