Thanks SOH yes that’s my understanding also so I was expecting to see either a massive purchase declared after hours or some sort of announcement but nothing? (that I can see anyway?)

This is the sentence that stands out to me.

I only have 2 Companies in my portfolio and Wrks is the other one (184,000). Results tomorrow!
I did however sell my remaining Saga shares this morning to put in here.

Fingers crossed it was the right decision accipiter and I hope you did your own research beforehand!

I have certainly put my money were my mouth is, Card is now 70% of my portfolio but I love risk and are genuinely playing around with money I can afford to (but would rather not) lose.

Only time will tell of course but I have a good feeling about this one.

Over a 1000 shops open 7 days a week needing to raise £70m which equates to every shop needing a profit of £70,000 in this next year.

£70,000/365 = £192 profit per day.

Ehtefaznaser this is easily possible. Do you agree?

Oldboys im seeing that all the time also. The other day parked up in my van eating my Steak Bake meal deal (Greggs is next door) I don’t who had the biggest smile on their face, me or the ladies kids when I spotted her leaving the Card factory with several Micky Mouse and Minnie Mouse balloons and a bag of “stuff”. Ha ha

Well I might regret this but in true FJGooner style I sold my last lot of Saga shares today. I suspect Banbury did the same a few weeks back but that hasn’t influenced me at all I just fancy a change. I will be back because I still believe in Saga but want more risk/gain in my life and in a shorter timescale. Good luck everybody “I will be back”. ps Banbury I know you are reading this because you are an addict like the rest of us so c’mon confess! Ha ha

I just can’t see it though. Society cannot continue locked down it just doesn’t work and everyone I speak to has had enough of being told what to do by politicians who are not capable of sticking to their own rules.

Life will go on and normal will come back.

Card Factory will be one of the winners and if this drops further then I will buy more. Simple.

Most here will know that I am a long (for me) term holder of Saga and although reduced lately still have a sizeable lump invested here.

One of the reasons I have lasted this long is that I like the people on this discussion board (I know that’s a terrible reason to stay invested but it’s true)

Anyhow, “pin your lugs back” because I want to share something with you.

Card. I have mentioned this company before and want to share why.

Back in June Card released an RNS with what I would call a “typo” in it. I spotted it immediately and expected them to either reissue the RNS or issue another one with clarification.

To my delight they did neither.

Look at the share price graph and see the drop.

Hard to pick the bottom but I have kept buying as it fell (and still are) but think we are almost there.

Without going into detail here go and read my last couple of posts over there (or click on my name).

Please look into it yourself and don’t just buy on my recommendation.

Remember none of this is without risk.

I was amazed back in June when the above RNS was released that the Company didn’t clarify the above date because there is a BIG difference between July 22 and July 2022.

It was obvious to anybody who read the details correctly that they were never going to rearrange finance and then agree to paying off £70M 6 weeks later (July 22).

Next Thursday (July 22) this share will start its long recovery - you watch.

Badly written RNS but if you read the paragraphs before and after the one I have copied and pasted above you will see see that’s it is July 2022 NOT July 22nd so plenty of time.

This typo is one of the reasons I am so heavily invested. I think people panicked and sold up driving the price down. Perfect buying opportunity.

The only gamble here is whether or not the shops will close again which I personally think will never happen.

Card Factory was sitting at £1.80 before Covid and a viable business and again only my opinion but I think this will be superseded in the next 6 to 12 months.

I also really don’t care if they do a RI but genuinely don’t think they will need to.
