Hi Banbury firstly I must say that you give me more credit than I deserve because I’m not really an investor as such more a gambler and don’t do anywhere near as much research as you do. I’ve strayed into share dealing because of Covid and my success with the exception of AVCT at the very beginning of the virus has been trying to find shares that will recover to the price they were before Covid. So Recovery stocks. Saga obviously being one of them but is taking too long for me. No idea about Cairn Energy other than they are almost at the same price now as preCovid so wouldn’t interest me.

On a separate note though I am overjoyed at hearing that you have 9 Grandchildren who will all be getting a birthday CARD from you at least once a year and maybe a helium balloon?

Good luck with your new investment though and a big well done for completing your 700 mile bike ride.

Small world stevebt I live in Birtley and used to work for BT! Get yourself to the Galleries and check out the Card Factory shop there. It’s constantly busy. I was in Leeds a few weeks ago and ended up (surprise surprise) in a store chatting to the manager and she said they have never been so busy even before Covid.
Metro Centre last weekend. 2 stores both busy. Everyone has come out of hibernation and wants to party.

I agree Lorenzo and I couldn’t understand why they aren't using this high St presence to push the on line offering. The reason is quite simple though in that they haven’t (yet) got the infrastructure behind them to service the potential supply and it could backfire.

In a recent RNS it was mentioned that a new computer system is scheduled to be implemented this year and expansion will be designed into this Im sure.

The Wrks went through a similar exercise last year and that is why I’m hoping DH gets involved once he leaves there in Sept.

This share has got multi bagger written all over it IMO from here. We just have to be patient.

Big money can still be made but you have the almost impossible job of outwitting the MM’s and the only way I have managed that is by taking bigger risks and falling lucky.

Saga will gradually rise now IMO but it will be slow and painful with lots of MM games on the way.

The Covid big money made by the risk takers has been made and the multi baggers are now scarce.

Will Saga bag from here?

I certainly think so but it really is a case of us all turning our phones and computers off now and coming back in 12 months when I think we will be pleasantly surprised.

Hi Salfordred although I completely agree with you that Sareum is still a good buy I just cant. I was in and out between 0.5p and 0.9p last year and just like an old girlfriend there is no going back. Especially now it’s 8p. Just have to accept that it’s one that got away.

Me and Saga are having an agreed separation atm and providing it doesn’t bag like Sareum then I think we will get back together.

Not sure if anybody else does this but I often used to use the app to pretend to buy 1 share just to get live prices and a couple of times almost got the refresh button mixed up with the buy button so used to think it was punters accidentally buying them. Ha ha

Hi Charles oh I’ve got complete in Saga long term I really have it’s a no brainer. Covid will never disappear completely, we will just simply learn to live with it so the cruise ships will eventually be running at 100% and Saga will prosper.

Short term though I fancied a change and started selling as it was dropping. My best being around the £4 mark and worst being £3.12!

I struggle with balanced portfolios, I’m an all or nothing type of guy and feel like I have spotted a double bagger elsewhere but could be wrong.

Always a little bit envious (and suspicious! Ha ha) of people who manage to sell at the top and buy at the bottom. I’ve never managed to do that and usually end up selling low and buying high! Lol.

I will be back invested here again in Saga though for sure.

61.57p Smorty yes I can see your trades. That’s a good price. Better than 78p when I jumped in (ouch). Got my average down to 63p now but that’s me fully loaded - no more.
Might just be coincidence about the DH RNS but it was the same day Card jumped so maybe somebody knows something but we will see. He is certainly a perfect fit even on a consultancy basis to help Card on the next stage of their development.

As most here will know, Dean Hoyle and his wife are the founders of the Card a factory.

He is currently the chairman of The Works but as per the latest RNS a couple of days ago (copied below) he has handed his notice in and leaves in September.

Nobody knows where is is going but wouldn’t it be just great if he came back to CARD.
