I view the RNS as posative, but unfortunately I can believe the negativity posts.

On the whole I do think this is very positive news and they had to release it as it is sp sensitive, whether up or down we will have to wait and see.

Like others I would like to see more clarity on the statement, 'Southern Oil is currently reviewing the final engineering design of their hydrogen solution at the bio-refinery which may result in an adjustment to the volume of hydrogen available for the fuel cell system in Gladstone, however'.

Two sp scenarios for today, 1 the sp either stays where it is or drops as some punters feel the here we go again not sure whats happening in clear terms, or 2 sp goes up but on the first sign of a dip back down, due to so many investors feeling the pain from recent losses sell at least a percentage of their holdings to claw back some of those losses.

Whichever way it goes, I can't see the sp closing much higher.

As for me, quite happy re the news and if I had not been one of those caught out so many times with false promises/prospect views, I would be looking at the opening price and topping up.

What is clear is that it will be a field day for a few day traders, as long of course the timing is right.

Agreed, but wasn't there a mention of an update re fuel cell longevity before end Oct.

I appreciate I am being a tad lazy not trawling back through RNS's but I have to admit as far as AFC are concerned I have almost lost the will to live, metaphorically speaking of course.

With 3 days left in October and several posters stating that news/update should be released by end of this month, Nov 5th would be fine with me, as a few days late with the almost promised news is not too bad. But any later than this and the already low sp will dip down lower.

However positive a share option RNS looks its contracts or at least a 'very positive' update on progress is the only news that can halt the sp slide.

Trading update as expected although the expectation was rightly high.

The way things are going, full year 2018/2019 should be very good indeed as more and more companies look to better systems to protect their customers payment data and their own reputations.

I am surprised that some major companies, we all know who they are due to media attention re their data breaches continue to use weak in house secure payment methods.

Not sure what you mean as the 30 day rule is regarding CGT, but you can exercise options as per the conditions granted, but if you mean can the option be taken up in a blackout period (insider dealing territory) that is OK. If those shares are then sold, the insider dealing rules would apply.

Not the RNS we were hoping for, IE contracts lined up following full testing and acceptance of the fuel stack, but it will do for now.

Whenever someone posts comments in any negative fashion they get bashed by some (not all) as to their motives, well I have a question.............I have been reading recently that companies that supply/produce hydrogen are now looking to get more for the use in hydrogen cells producing direct power to motor vehicles than simply to produce electricity to other source users as well as via the national grid.

When it was discussed a couple of years ago regarding AFC and vehicle fuel cells, I like most thought that the way to go was not down this road as others were looking at these systems and that AFC should concentrate on their static fuel cell stack system.

I have read that the hydrogen powered car is looking to be more popular and cheaper per mile than a none hydrogen power unit, so my question now is this, if the price of hydrogen increases due to demand because of the hydrogen car growing in popularity, where does that leave AFC re cost production to sale.

Swindon Council has told householders to stop recycling plastic waste as they have admitted that most of it goes to landfill as it is not commercially viable to send it for sorting.

It appears that it is cheaper to pay to dump plastic in landfill sites than it is to pay for it to be sorted and recycled.

No doubt other councils will follow.

When the Powehouse DMG system starts to be generally accepted, it must surely be the route for councils to send their plastic waste, especially the none recyclable plastics.

Decisions like those taken by Swindon Council has to be a win win for Powerhouse, especially as the government is not happy that Swindon have taken this decision and will no doubt put pressure on them, and any other council that follows their lead, to find an alternative from using landfill.

I seem to recall that the company put out a note some years ago regarding vehicle fuel cells to the effect that there were far more companies looking at this area than there were at static fuel cell systems, which at the time AFC also stated they were the leader in the field.

To my mind, they are far better putting all their efforts into static builds than mobile one's, as to the future though, who knows.

Interesting this morning is a PRN regarding Powerhouse Energy (epic PHE) they have been linked to AFC for some time and their technology has a good chance of partnering with AFC.

Not ramping PHE, as those who have been following both PHE and AFC obviously know that what is good for one, could be good for both.

I would think that developments the size of Dunsfold Park have to include the planned power supply as part of the plans submitted, therefor I am sure that if the planning application is accepted without any further re-submissions then by that reasoning both will be in parallel for priority.

If there is anyone out there with planning experience, I would welcome their views.

Yes great news which must lead to orders, as it will bring trust into the technology.

It's a hurdle that we have been waiting for the company to clear.

I agree that the article was work in progress re the 20% but the main point I was trying to make is the AFC have far more competitors than they had a few years ago, with some albeit not 100% in the area that AFC are, now selling their product whilst they continue to improve their products, AFC to be appear waiting for the holy grail of fuel cells.

I do agree but its the continual grinding down of the sp that is getting to all of us.

It's no good going by any positives in reports as AFC have been putting out positives for the last several years, fact.

As far as to the companies present true position, IE looking promising or not, who really knows.

When I saw the report re the latest Climate change meeting in South Korea, I thought here we go again, same old scare mongering, but just lately I have started to take climate change more seriously, as I think are most people.

It is becoming quite obvious that if the world does not start taking it seriously, bringing actions, not just words, something major will happen, probably more regular to what we are seeing now.

In the same report, it was mentioned that the focus has to be on cleaner fuels, something which we are I am sure aware of.

If AFC do come good, the timing could not be better, the word if being the make or break.

Many years ago AFC appeared to be a lonely fuel cell company with a fantastic future ahead of them.

Obviously things as one would expect from a R+D company such as AFC who had entered a fairly new field, progress was slow and we were as most of us except, promised things that were unreachable, but as the years passed, we became impatient, for myself not so much because of the slow progress, but more down to other similar companies coming forward.

A few years ago, we began to see some of these companies catching and overtaking AFC. Although appreciating that AFC were not fully similar in the areas of fuel cell production and to their intended customer base, the lack of progress to actually selling the stuff (power) became more and more of an issue.

Whilst AFC keep quite rightly banging on about them being different to other fuel cell companies, there is no getting away from the fact that several of these companies are 'selling' their products.

These products are probably far from the best that these companies will provide in the future but the point is they are selling their products, AFC are not.

In a report in today's Telegraph it is mentioned that the field of fuel cells is becoming very crowded.

Years ago, as said, AFC were in their words 'leading the race', perhaps now they are in danger of missing the boat completely.

AFC were down as a R+D company up to a couple of years ago, now they say they are an energy producer. Could have fooled me!

There has to be a before year end major sp boosting RNS otherwise AFC will be in danger of sinking without trace.

Sticking with it for the time being, but patience is running very thin.

But on a serious note, as you say, if Powerhouse got just 10% of plastic requiring processing would be good.
