I think most of our dreams are turning into nightmares.

Trading update not as expected, but on the whole it looks more like a hick-up than a problem.

I also think investors are concentrating on the trading not as expected part and ignoring the positives such as the new contracts won and the invite to the event in Berlin mid April.

I would love to top up as deepjoy has done, but I am in invested up to my self set limit.

I know, but I like most want updates as to past possible named partners, because if we don't whenever AFC mention a present or future partner, how do we know if these partnerships are still in existence.

So are John Lewis and others previously named still interested?

I have been in AFC since conception, AFC's, not mine, although it sometimes feels like it.

Whilst agreeing that over the last few years the company has aimed away from the 'low hanging fruit' , several years ago they informed their shareholders that several companies that included supermarkets were queuing up to take their technology to make stores independent of the national grid.

I vaguely remember John Lewis and Asda mentioned, but it is so long ago that my memory may not be that accurate, and as we have never had any updates re these queuing companies we can only surmise the reasons why.

Many posters on here are criticised for guessing why we are not further along the contract line, but without facts or at least reasonable reasons given by the company suppositions are all that is left.

Strangely enough, I still feel more positive than negative toward AFC's future, but that is based solely on those big investors in the company from De Nora to Abromovich and has nothing to do with this 'treat small investors like mushrooms' BOD.

For goodness sake, I thought we were all adults on here.

Topped up but before I did, I spent a good hour trying to find any reason why the big drop today, result 'nothing'.

On the surface it does look good news, but they have been talking to this company for over 18 months and reading between the lines of the RNS it gives the message that they are further away from contracts than we were lead to believe.

Until we get a meaningful RNS the sp will either stand still or end yet another day on a drop.

It seems that ever day there is a drip, drip lower that usually results in the Friday sp being lower than the previous Mondays.

I agree, seems reasonable but today's drop looks well overdone.

Might look at topping up Monday, depending on many factors that could crop up over the week-end.

That is precisely what is causing the problem at the huge plastic and tyre dump of more than 50.000 tonnes at Killingholme (council may have to pay a £6 million to remove killinghome waste dump) and no doubt other councils have similar waste costly problems.

This waste dump is clearly visible from space and is the largest in the UK.

I would not be surprised at all if one of the first locations for a Powerhouse DMG unit.

Anyone any idea what has caused the drop to todays level.

Surely it can't all be down to the almighty cock-up that our honourable (sic) members of parliament are making of Brexit.

The above comment is not to start or continue any Brexit argument, it's purely due to the fact I have been considering increasing my holdings, but hesitating due to a feeling that something else is responsible for the drop.

Just think (or dream) if RMS secure a contract with Siemens regarding their wind turbines, what sort of value we may be looking at.

I remember well the suggestion that AFC's were looking at their fuel cell being integrated in Data rooms electrical supply but not for the fire risk re oxygen (it could have been mentioned, but I can't remember), so you could be correct.

I do though remember a reason given was that it would enable everything to run at a far cooler temperature.

But like you, I have no idea of the current possibility but like many other news releases it was never followed up.

Over the last year, several people have been arrested, fined and had to pay damages for deformation of character on media sites.

Don't get me wrong, I am not having a go at anyone on here, it's just that knowing the Law (mainly criminal) I often see comments that make me think posters are going too far, and i would hate to see them get 'done'.

Mind you if I put into words a tenth of my thoughts re certain company board members, I would be soon sinking in troubled waters.

The problem is that our NHS takes very little notice of NICE recommendations.

I have lost count of the number of positive trials and recommendations that have been a result of using Detex's ODM (over 90 and counting).

The main problem is that all NHT managers are bothered about is the yearly budget spend, not considering anything that results in spend £1 today, save several £'ssss tomorrow.

The main figures that stand out are 'Landfill at a Non-hazardous waste including landfill tax6 at median £107

EfW5 (incineration with energy recovery) at median £86

From the report posted by Jabberba, PHE price stated for waste per ton is £80

The figures reported are a bit confusing to say the least, but no doubt someone will be able to dissect them clearer than I have

The next fundamental issue is that the cost of incineration and landfill is a lot cheaper than recycling.

As with Renewables and CO2, fiscal incentives and discouragement may be required to stimulate change and encourage additional investment at this embryonic stage of the industry’s development, helping level the playing field on costs.

I think this matters in a positive way for PHE against negatives for other recycling companies.

Many recycling companies, recycle to similar products from the feed stock, IE glass to glass, plastics to plastics, paper to paper and so on, whereas PHE as we know recycles their waste feed into mainly energy of electricity or/and hydrogen (with a small percentage of gasses.

Does anyone else agree that this is where PHe could have a big advantage over other recyclers.
