Topped up last week, so a bit disappointed as no doubt the sp will drop a bit on opening, but as it was hinted that they would not need to raise more cash it made me wonder as to the possible reasons.

Looking at the best scenario, perhaps there is more interest in the technology than we know and by interest I mean approaches to the company, that might require a quicker roll out of that technology.

You can tell that I woke up this morning in a forward looking mode.

It weakens your argument as soon as you say anyone's opinion that disagrees with yours is s**t.

What AFC want to do and what they end up doing could be different. I have known other companies that initially did not want to go down the authorised exclusive distributor route but changed their minds.

I doubt AFC will go this route, but you never know, it could end up being more productive.

I have always valued your input, so please go back to well argued, none insulting posts.

Bloom energy in South Korea.

Bloom Energy has announced a strategic partnership with SK Engineering and Construction (SK E&C) to bring fuel cell energy to South Korea. Under the new agreement, SK E&C will become a distributor of Bloom Energy Server solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) systems in the nation.

The country already has approximately 300 megawatts (MW) of fuel cell energy deployed. Now, South Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) 8th Electricity Supply Demand Plan has called for further expansion of these fuel cells for utility-scale electric power generation. MOTIE wants to see these deployments expand to an estimated 600 MW by 2022.

I only post the above as a question as to whilst competitors appear to be getting ahead of AFC, remembering the South Korea was supposed to be the companies main target.

And yet the sp for Bloom Energy is falling even when they have orders.

An update needs to come soon otherwise what confidence in both the company and it's sp will continue to fall.

I think any signed manufacturing deal with De Nora will up the sp as it will be the conformation it'self that will be the main point. Whilst I agree that everyone expects a deal, and that expectation is written into the sp, nothing is 100% till that dotted line has been signed.

More shares bought than sold and the sp goes down is common.

All that it means is that as the sp drops buyers are tempted. The same happens in reverse, more sellers tempted to sell as the sp increases, resulting in more sells than buys on a rising sp.

Very simple, I increased my holdings.

I have been looking and watching for the last couple of weeks to top up or not and missed the pre Monday RNS, but topped up today as I do feel that the gamble (and thats what it is especially on the AIM) is now an odds on bet to fly.

I am now though up to my own set limit, so will now sit, watch and wait for those contracts to flood in.

MM's do not need to research as they are not that bothered if a share goes up or down, all they are bothered about is the number of shares available and the dealing volume.

There job is to make a market nothing more nothing less.

And before the brickbats come showering down , in no way am I suggesting they do not use any means, devious or not to make that market.

I know of no other gassifying process that operates to the high temp that the PHE system uses, but it is no so much the purity of the hydrogen that is different, it is the waste materials that the process can use. I have never been able to find any other system that can process hard plastic or end of life tyres. I do stand to be corrected and would welcome any comments re this from those out there with far more knowledge on this subject that I.

As to today's news, although sort of expected, it has happened far quicker than most of us thought.
Mind you, the Japanese do not hang about adopting new technology.

In case anyone is wondering if any council would contemplate the removal of any landfill content due to cost , they may find this interesting.

About 15 years ago a landfill site near me was totally emptied and re-landscaped due to so many complaints of the smell. This stink was from the hydrogen sulphide which the landfill content was releasing and could be smelled from at least 1 mile away. I have no idea of cost but this was presumably re-dumped at a site located further away from any public area, as at this time I do not believe they had any better methods of disposal.

There must be many such landfill sites around the country that do or will cause future problems.

Hopefully once the PHE system is proven to customer satisfaction, those said customers will be queuing to take advantage of their technology.

AFC are presumable attending (good for networking) although not down to speak.

Both Powerhouse Energy and AFC had the others company as a mentioned partner on their sites as well as Waste2Tricity. There were a couple more on the AFC website but I can't remember or find out who they were. I can't understand why they are no longer mentioned, although they might suddenly re-appear once the AFC website, is re-vamped.

I presume they are still partners, as we have not been informed of anything different.

Not pushing Powerhouse Energy, although I am in both Powerhouse and AFC, but it might be worth looking at today's RNS from Powerhouse (Epic PHE).

In the RNS Japan is mentioned several time (you would need to read the full document to see how many times), the main point being that AFC has often been mention coupled with Powerhouse, even using the word partners, although that appears to have disappeared with others from the AFC web site. Japan is looking to be a big potential market place for both companies.

The slight uplift of the sp says it all.

Whilst the RNS is positive, it will take far more than more promises to turn investors confidence around.

The rules re sp sensitive information released in a reasonable time has been stated by the authority to be asap or within 48 hours (72 hours if special reasons). As to the if they are negotiating a deal, I fully agree, that does change though if the negotiations leek in any way.

It's a shame that this thread which has in the past been a very good thread for both information and debating that info and the company as a whole, has become more of a yes you did, no I didn't forum.

Please do not take that comment as anything more than an attempt to get this thread back to being what it once was.

Whilst I have no problem with any opposite views, continual arguing even from those who I feel hold the thread together (you know those I am referring to) to continually repeat comment over and over tend to result in any good content posts being lost or ignored in the dross.

To those who are tempted to reply more than a couple of times to silly playground posts, please resist and get back to posting good content posts.

Yet again from Hydrogen news today.................Manganese catalyst could be a breakthrough in hydrogen fuel cell technology.

It goes on to say the usual regarding fuel cells containing platinum and it's high cost and also how fuel cells have been held back due to high cost.


It concludes that while further study is required, these results are promising that an alternative catalyst will one day be developed, leading to the wide scale adoption of fuel cell technology.

I have read several similar articles over the last few years that always sound as if they are not aware that none platinum fuel cells exist.

There must be so many organisation/companies that need a good, efficient, cost performing fuel cell energy supply system that have little or no idea about what is available.

Once we do get a firm contract or sooner, AFC must start banging the drum regarding their none platinum fuel cell technology to the world, or do they still have a list of potential clients that they will be able to pick and choose as they have previously stated.

I like Southerhay have been in AFC for many years and also like him are not a doomsayer. You also say that we shoot ourselves in the foot, which I have to disagree with you due to more often than not we tend to be right (I wish we were not).

Although I do not have my pension or mortgage worth in this share, I do have quite a considerable investment, in fact it is the largest holding in my portfolio.

The being invested for 10 years plus and seeing the sp at one point as high as 75p would knock anyone's confidence.

I would love to post that I see the sp back into the high double numbers by end of 2019, but although I do believe that by end of next year, the sp will be far higher, I find it very hard to believe that there can be a turnaround of some 500 to 600%, but who really knows.
